My granddaughter started middle school this past week. In a school where there was a shooting last May. She was a little nervous to say the least, but she had a good day and a good beginning to the year. Thanks not to the right or the left, but her teachers, police and community coming together to make that happen. I get that this forum is all about "my side is the right side", but can you all Facking once have a conscience and realize that people that you Facking know are going through this shit? I know that I am just a Facking libtard to some of you, but others I have met in person. Thoughts and Facking prayers? F*ck that shit Ok...done. Carry on

My daughter and her boyfriend took me to BeachWood Barbeque in Seal Beach for lunch....Nice beer menu and bbq menu. Seal Beach is what Huntington Beach used to be. Then we introduced him to the Posse Bar right by my house. It's a First Responder Bar that has at least 10 TVs devoted to sports and has a picture of my Dad (in his Marine uniform) on the wall. All in all, one of the best 4ths I have experienced. I hear loud outbursts all over the neighborhood, so all I will have to do is walk outside to see fireworks.

The Hyatt Place Tempe... Pretty close to everything and I had points sooooo....

We are in a bar called the Thirsty Lion and we made the hostesses laugh when we came in so yeah we are having some fun.

The dugout talk is one my favorite things about spring training. It always seems too early and some of us are stumbling around, but what a great way to start the day!

The day at work was going like crap, 1st day after a holiday weekend, kids acting up in the district I work in, etc. If you have kids in public school in California right now, you have probably been asked to fill out a survey on how the school, district, teachers, programs, etc are doing (in your opinion). The survey is also given to the middle school kids. Our department is responsible for collecting the data and part of that is going through the free form comments to make sure there is nothing profane or threatening in them. My co-worker called me over to show me some comments that a 7th grader had made. She found the words "desert you" and looked to see what question he was answering and found these comments in the rest of the survey: Never gonna give you upNever gonna let you downNever gonna run around and desert youNever gonna make you cryNever gonna say goodbyeNever gonna tell a lie and hurt you It made me laugh. Perfect end to the work day.

I will be there. I am so ready for spring training.

I listen to this station at work on my computer. It's not just about the music (which I love, being an hippie chick), but listening to the stories that Uncle Joe Benson tells about the artists and songs is cool. Oh well, back to pandora or amazon.

I did get to see them....minus Walter Becker. He wasn't there due to illness.
