  1. I still lurk but it's not like the old days. We are all on facebook..well, except for Adam pre-surgery.
  2. We practically lived at the Little League field while my brother played. My Dad was a Manager/Coach/Board Member for at least 10 years. Girls like baseball too.
  3. Cubs because my Dodger fan friends will lose their minds...hehehe
  4. You should facebook live that shit too. Just sayin.
  5. Jeff Mathis ‏@JMathSix Sep 25 Hard to put into words what this "niño" meant to me. Very privileged to have know and worked along side such a special individual #RIPJDF16
  6. Taylor Blake Ward ‏@TaylorBlakeWard 30m30 minutes ago maybe we'll all wake up tomorrow and September 25th will have never happened
  7. Listening to Don Mattingly speak about Jose is heartbreaking.
  8. Devastating. He was always so joyful. I will always remember that smile.
  9. But will the tattoo have its own facebook page?
  10. Is this the equivalent of telling the 49ers to get their boy in check or else? Kind of proving his point IMO.
  11. So do you think we should not try to change this culture? White people helped create it, so why should we sit by and do nothing? I am speaking on the education side because that is what I see. Children should never feel they are worthless and have nothing to look forward to. Community and parent involvement are key to helping these kids feel like they have a future. The state of California has made some of these pieces part of school districts' "ratings". Baby steps, but I feel like we are making some progress.
  12. My co worker, who has a Gary Johnson sticker on his car, loves this hashtag.
  13. The oppression starts in elementary and middle school. Black and Latino students are more likely to be suspended than white students for the same offense. It really is a thing. Black and Latino people are more likely to have longer sentences for like crimes than white people. Brock Turner anyone? He's celebrating his release after 3 months for raping an unconscious woman because he is a white guy who is good at some white guy sport at Stanford. Fuck this shit http://ocrdata.ed.gov/Downloads/CRDC-School-Discipline-Snapshot.pdf
  14. I think his protest is working to make people talk about the issues. I would have never watched a press conference of a football player before and I will bet that I am not alone.
  15. Kaep spoke about the issues last night after the game and announced that he is donating $1 million to organizations that fight injustice. I like what he said about people not wanting to admit that these problems exist and need to be addressed. He talked about the lack of care for veterans as well.
  16. Who knew they would last that long?
