Moreno has killed it.
Somebody else that buys a team now for $3billion, we really don’t know.  We can assume it will be as lucrative for them long term as it has been for Moreno, but that is sort of like telling somebody, “Hey don’t worry about buying Amazon at $3000 a share today because I did great buying it at $900.”

To be honest, I could live without the PR posturing from either side.  I hear Manfred at a podium and I ignore him.  Blah blah blah.  Couldn’t care less what he says.  How about step away from the podium and go talk to the players instead? It’s kinda the same for these player comments. I don’t see that they do anything at all to move anything forward.
In a nutshell, I for sure would have rather gotten an update on the calf. 

The whole "bargaining in good faith" is such a crock of shit.

This is the lamest and most meaningless of all the individual issues.

I suppose I could see myself one day no longer caring about baseball, like has happened to me with basketball. 
But I cannot see any scenario in which I would ever say "Well, I still love baseball and Ohtani is taking the mound tonight, but I'm gonna boycott so my voice will be heard."

Stick to this contrived narrative.  It’s fun.
I like baseball and would like some baseball.  Don’t really care who “wins” this dispute because fundamentally it’s not really any of my business.  The lack of baseball has me here chatting to fill the time.  Having an opinion about topics at hand and being fine with whatever they ultimately work out is not the same as people who really do care who gets what in these talks.
But you can spin that any way you like if it’s what you need to get through these talks.

Unfortunately maybe.  I just hope this will just be an episode where both sides really wanted to make sure they left nothing on the table.
Hopefully they find some new flexibility and figure it out now that more is at stake.
