Rengifo hitting leadoff is one of the biggest issues I saw in the Two games I went to in Toronto. He is Willy Mays Hayes from Major League 2....trying to be a power hitter when he should've just put the ball in play. Lots of long fly ball outs when the batters in the 7-9 position were on. He also came up a lot with 2 outs it seemed like, and again, I was watching the game, not keeping score, so I may be wrong. He's been hitting well in July, and hits well as a leadoff guy, only because it is where he's been this month and hitting in front of Ohtani helps. But I'd still rather he hit 9th and Neto leadoff.

Padlo came up for Ward for one game, but did not play. Cabbage didn’t really get any balls hit his way in CF but that’s probably not where they want to play him. With Grichuck and Cron coming in, who else gets optioned to minors? I think it’s probably Stefanic or Cabbage, but if they option Cabbage it’s still only three OF on the team. And with Neto hurting, it’s likely they need Rengifo and Velazquez as SS options and thus Stefanic as a 2B option. Does Neto go back to IL? When Drury returns, he’ll take Stefanic’s spot, right?

They will likely not go for a Catcher as they probably expect O’Hoppe to be back on Sept 1.

They can bring up Adams if they want a 4th OF. It’s not needed, though if Trout is back for Seattle or Tampa.

They’re gonna have to drop two off the 40 man and active roster, likely pitchers and will have a further active roster squeeze when Trout, Adell, Drury and O’Hoppe return. Unless there is someone they can outright, like they did Fletcher, that I am unaware of, I’d imagine they will drop Davidson and someone else like Herget after the first game today. They could maybe put Joyce on the 60 Day DL, or Rendon. I don’t think they have to add the traded players to the 40 for 24 hours. I got stuck in Chicago on my way to the games in Detroit and I’m secretly hoping they end up on my flight. That would just be cool. The White Sox were playing the Cubs so unless they had someone drive them last night, they have to be on an early flight out. This is the earliest American Airlines flight (delayed again) which won’t get me there in time let alone the two Ex White Sox. So maybe Lopez will be available for game 2, but most likely it’s not until tomorrow, in Toronto.

Candelario is an impending free agent, but yes there would be someone like Paris or Sanchez or Adams involved. Rengifo and Suarez have some value but not much and Davidson sucks but for a rebuilding team may have value as a starter.

Tucker Davidson is likely gone if they don’t move someone and then it’s either Wantz or Herget next up.

You got to give to get, and Bradish, Like Clevinger, hadnt really impressed in the minors when he was shipped off. In High A in 2019, he had a 4.28 ERA in 101 IP with a 1.416 WHIP. Clevinger had a 5.37 ERA in his stint in the Cal League (High A) and a 1.516 WHIP. Sometimes guys develop to be good, even as low level non-prospects when they are traded.

Rengifo shouldn't ever play the OF. Add this to your list of bad ideas. I know he's been hot in his last few games but honestly I would like nothing more than his streaky, swing for the fences, misplay easy balls gone from this team.

Do we need another OF? I mean Moniak should be playing everyday, and Ward is hitting, plus with Trout returning, and Moustakas playing well at 1st, you have Cabbage and Renfroe splitting time ...

Wallach's offense has mostly cratered. Thaiss isn't hitting as well as he did either. O'Hoppe called games much better than either of the other guys, and may be back soon, and who knows what's up with Stassi.

Flaherty and Hicks can probably be had for Tucker Davidson, Ky Bush, plus another lower grade pitching prospect. Maybe Andrew Wantz. Joe Kelly can be had for someone like Jadiel Sanchez. He's struggled a bit lately, but I have always seen him be successful when the game is on the line.

Give me Joe Kelly, Jack Flaherty and Jordan Hicks. That is good for me with Drury, Trout and O'Hoppe probably all coming back at some point and Adell and Rendon likely coming back at some point.

He'd have like 9 starts instead of as many as 11, but he may need a bit of rest. If he is going to continue being the everyday DH, then I think even with the days off, perhaps they do this. They can also do a straight 6 rotation, instead of the 5.5 rotation they have been doing. That would result in 10 starts, I think.
