  1. I'm on the Ohtani bandwagon. Lets get it done!
  2. I doubt it..he hasn't cussed anyone out..yet.
  3. Yup you're right, I think she had several screen names. She was a polarizing figure on both the Angel board and the Dodgers board. lol
  4. Sue loved Peter Bourjos (and CJ Wilson) and when the Angels traded him she moved to the Dodgers board and became a Puig fan. It got amusing when she got called out for not really being an Angel fan but a fair weather fan that liked one player. She also had the moderators on speed dial. lol Edit: I think Sue was CJ_Pitch or something like that.
  5. Charles communicated a lot with Mead, he even went so far as to send Mead a plan to submit to the Angels front office on how to improve the team. (He posted the letter on the board) What makes this funny is that Charles never played the game and had zero experience, yet he really thought he could get a job in the front office. I wasn't one of the people that got annoyed with Charles, in fact, I thought he was pretty entertaining until near the end. By that time he'd been trolling just about every thread on the board and that did annoy me..because of that I'd had enough of him.
  6. One of the funnier memories I have of the board was when Charles actually applied for a job in the Angels front office.
  7. I believe Charles was indeed responsible for getting the Angels MLB board closed. A poster there (I don't recall who) that had a friend/source with the Angels pretty much confirmed it in a post he made I believe on the Dodgers board where for a very short time there was a thread there about what happened. There was no warning, one day it was just gone. I could be wrong but that's how I remember it.
  8. Yeah, it's too bad so many good posters didn't come over here. There are a couple I don't miss. lol
  9. Lee definitely had issues. Charles issues had issues.
  10. I don't have any idea what the chances are of Ohtani becoming an Angel are, but I'm looking at him from not only his playing ability but his overall appeal from a fans point of view. The guy would be a huge draw..HUGE, and he'd certainly help the team on the field. The notion that he'd be too gassed to throw from right field is nonsense. By all accounts Babe Ruth had no problems in that area and I doubt that Ohtani would either. As far as finding a place for him to play I don't see that as a problem either. For a potential talent like that you make room for him! Can the Angels lure Ohtani into coming to Anaheim? I don't know, but the more I think about it the more I'd like to see him in an Angel uniform.
  11. It looks like Shohei Ohtani is going to be posted by the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters. I don't know what anyone here thinks, but I'd like to see the Angels make a run at Ohtani. If he is anywhere near as good as it seems he'd be a very exciting and valuable player to have in an Angel uniform. Thoughts anyone?
  12. While I don't have anything against Moose I'm just luke warm on him and fearful of over paying him. If he can be acquired reasonably (I don't think there's anything reasonable anymore) I suppose it would make him more desirable but I think he may have just had his career year. He is however still only 29... Meh
  13. Has to be Monster Mash..it was a graveyard smash!
  14. That was definitely a fun game with lots of entertainment, but dang, 5 hours + is just too much for me.
  15. I watched the game/series with my dad who was also a big Angel fan..I'll never forget the joy we had that night. My dad died in 2005 and I think of him every time I think about the 2002 Series.
  16. Pretty good command of the strike zone also!
  17. Well lets put it this way.. I can't imagine the saber guys liking Girardi's style of play.
  18. Only thing wrong with this game was how long it took to play it.
