    Because of the depth provided, the team could be in a lot worse shape. The team has been horrendous for two weeks and we're only a game under.500. More than enough time to right the ship.

    I agree. If the guy is a pure hitter, then there's no problem. The draft is a crapshoot. There are no guarantees.

    Thanks, but I think a lot of people here want to trade him even if he wants to stay because they think the team will be better being rebuilt.

    So many want him traded here. For those who want this, is the reason that you think he's going to leave or do you think the team will improve with his replacements?

    Why do some want this? A teardown? OK, who stays? Just the kids? I don't want to see the team play like an expansion team. Praying you won't lose and knowing you're going to lose is two different things. And we're not guaranteed to come out like the Astros if that's done.

    I don't want to make excuses but it's not surprising because of the brutal schedule and injuries. It will be great if they can win tonight and take the ASG break.

    Does anyone have Trout's stats after last season's injury? If they were good, as I believe, I'm just wondering if he could be just as good this year.

    Is there a site that compiles how many runs have been scored in our losses vs. the other team's runs in those wins? I'd be surprised if we weren't in the top five in close losses. I know a loss is a loss but that also shows fortitude.

    Hurray! I don't expect him to do anything today but he's a very important presence. If Canning does as he's been doing, we will do well.

    Ultimately, I think sweeps are very difficult. I hope for them but I generally don't say that a team "should sweep" even if technically they should. There are just too many variables especially on the road.

    I never heard of either of those guys. Are they really significant for a guy who has hit over 20 homers for several years? I'm sure he's better than Padlo and Velazquez.
