  1. I believe an established coach would be better than a younger or first-time one. I think the team has the talent. It just needs to be molded. This isn't the A's , Reds or Marlins. Yes, we have some kids but we have some older/veteran talent like Ward, Rengifo, and the starters who may need a kick or push.
  2. Great show! I actually like the longer ones with more content. And Chuck, I think Ohtani is returning. WE NEED OPTIMISM! The Angels won't always lose and when they start winning again it's going to be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
  3. I'm not reading this nor the one that was about hoping Ohtani goes to another team for the good of the league. Why is there so much Angels hate?
  4. I wish him the best. Hopefully, a movie will come out years later on his comeback. Of course, the team will look like idiots but...
  5. Great episode! Tim is a class act! Loved hearing all the insights, and, for me, the optimism is great! Great job guys!
  6. I keep hearing about him getting stringer. Are you concerned that would take away his "eye" for getting on base?
  7. How many homers does Adell hit for the rest of the year? I'll say 5.
  8. I really enjoyed the optimism! You don't know how much I need that, Chuck! And I think Ohtani is returning and Trout is staying. As for the Rendon trifecta? I think he's staying too.
  9. Great episode guys! I also became a fan in '79 and was heartbroken in '86 I'm probably older than both of you. I was 22 then just back from the Army.
  10. It's very very hard for me to believe that Ohtani would just leave and not tell anyone. This nonsense coupled with the Rendon reveal leads me to believe this is all Angels communication.
  11. When looking at the Angels highlights, there's upbeat music (trumpets - da da - da da da and then a drumbeat) that comes on when the inning ends. Would someone be able to tell me what that is?
  12. I thought it would be frowned upon to have another thread about Ohtani so I'm asking here: Does this movement of players have any effect on if he stays or not? Was this done because of a decision of Ohtani to leave? Did this only happen because of the Angels' horrid August?
  13. It was very strange. I was at the game and expected Moore and Lopez to shut down the Mets instead Lopez imploded. I guess we have to be satisfied with winning the series. I mean we had Escobar at cleanup, Squid and Wallach in the lineup along with a slumping Grichuk and Renfroe. I was expecting a homer from Ohtani but we almost won with that lineup.
  14. Great episode! I really enjoyed the passion. It's not easy being an Angels fan. I've been a fan since '79 and I don't think it's ever been easy. I appreciate the thoughts and insight.
  15. I hope you're right Chuck. The Angels have treated him very well. I don't think Ohtani is a despot. Yes, he wants some autonomy but it's hard to believe that the Angels have no say on what he does.
  16. I agree and maybe at this point it's self-pity. I mean, all the injuries and the "hate" from the fanbase could cause a player to go the other way.
