  1. I agree. And also going all in gets Ohtani more interested in staying. Is it possible that Ohtani is waiting on what the Angels will do?
  2. For all those who are saying Tim Anderson, don't we have enough infielders? Do you think he's needed?
  3. I think their priority is Ohtani. That's why they haven't picked anyone up yet. The Angels generally get someone in the early weeks of free agency.
  4. I think he's coming back and if he leaves I can't see him going to an AL West rival. I don't think he'll do that to the Angels. That would be a slap in the face. We know he's getting paid wherever he goes but I don't see what Houston (pretty much just won), Texas (who just won) and Seattle (who has never won) has over us.
  5. It's not so much the plays but the running to the plays, even to those the other outfielders make.
  6. Good show guys! Actually this is one of the funnier shows! I loved Geoff's Angels Win remark! I was crying!
  7. Ha! I liked Prada, Rachel Got Married and The Accidental Tourist. Figure, people.
  8. I don't know if I've ever replied to this but there was a Prince I almost walked out on. I don't know if it was Under the Cherry Moon which was atrocious. I can't remember the title of the worst baseball movie possible. I think it was called Night Game. Roy Scheider was a detective and the serial killer was only killing people when the team was at home and at night.
  9. I haven't gone through the entire thread but is there speculation who he may choose as his coaches? Older? Younger? A protege, perhaps, who can take over?
  10. Why is this "his last chance?' Sounds a bit negative. I understand that he's been hyped but he may been called up too soon. I hope he figures things out.
  11. I believe that Walsh will have another good year in the majors and possibly multiple ones. He just seems to be driven to me.
  12. Trout is a Hall-of-Famer. If he can't make an adjustment at this age, I'd be incredibly surprised.
  13. I'd love Showalter but the manager isn't the most important this offseason. Is it possible to table this until we know if Shohei is returning? With Shohei, I think Showalter is the right fit since the club will be in win-now mode. If Shohei goes, I think the whole dynamic of the club changes. They may still be in win-now but it will be different, if that makes sense. We would need to get free agents to replace him. In that vein, winning may be realistically longer and I'd be more inclined to choose a manager who isn't as seasoned as Showalter.
  14. I wouldn't mind a Snell but if we can adamantize that bullpen we may be able to get by with a lesser starter and the ones we have. Can Canning and Silseth build on their seasons? I think Detmers will flourish one of these days and hopefully Sandoval can get out of his own head.
  15. I believe an established coach would be better than a younger or first-time one. I think the team has the talent. It just needs to be molded. This isn't the A's , Reds or Marlins. Yes, we have some kids but we have some older/veteran talent like Ward, Rengifo, and the starters who may need a kick or push.
  16. Great show! I actually like the longer ones with more content. And Chuck, I think Ohtani is returning. WE NEED OPTIMISM! The Angels won't always lose and when they start winning again it's going to be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
  17. I'm not reading this nor the one that was about hoping Ohtani goes to another team for the good of the league. Why is there so much Angels hate?
  18. I wish him the best. Hopefully, a movie will come out years later on his comeback. Of course, the team will look like idiots but...
  19. Great episode! Tim is a class act! Loved hearing all the insights, and, for me, the optimism is great! Great job guys!
  20. I keep hearing about him getting stringer. Are you concerned that would take away his "eye" for getting on base?
