We've gone through this before.  I don't want any problems watching tv, I dvr everything, and I don't want any damn drops that I always read about with subscription services.

I pay $1,200 a year to watch through my satellite with 300 channels.  I make enough money, I'm not fucking around with splitting subscriptions with my aunt, getting vpn subscriptions, and all the other hoops that 'subscriber guy' has to jump through.

You might want to look into Tvision (TMobile) tons of channels, $90/mo for TMobile customers. Total pkg (TV, DVR) $130.00 This is a streaming service

  2. Just remember there are Rules of Behavior at Angel Stadium. #1 Rule, under no circumstances are you to stand and cheer until the bottom of the 9th inning when there are 2 outs and 2 strikes on the opposing batter. That means when Trout/Calhoun/Ohtani,etc... comes to the plate late in the game with bases loaded and down by 1-3 runs, you are to remain in your seat!  If you do get caught up the moment and stand up to cheer madly, an Usher will come down and kindly remind to stay seated so as not to impact the fan's experience seated behind you. The Angels, as I understand it, are getting compensated pretty well by MLB for giving up these two home games, probably to the point that that it’s more profitable than playing in Anaheim.

The players also get a paid extra - don’t know how much but my understanding is it’s a significant amount - for playing these games.

But the Angel season ticket fans were charged for these 2 games. Were told not their (Angels) fault. MLB in charge of these games.

  4. Back in 2016, Arte was all set to build new stadium on NW corner of the Tustin Air Base.  Environmental permits were quickly approved and all that needed was investors to build/develop the surrounding property.  Unfortunately, investors were not found so in 2017, Arte gave up and signed an extended lease with Anaheim (2029?) He has big plans for developing the parking lot but the city wants to see some improvements to the stadium. First he replaced all lights with LED lights (2017).Last year, he upgraded the sound system and video screens.

They'll announce they're parting ways with him the day after the season ends.

Don't think he'll full on retire, but I could see him moving into a more part time advisory type role. Guy has been in professional baseball for 40 years straight, immediately after his playing career he began coaching. Probably time for a break

I think MS will announce he is not returning when they are mathematically eliminated. JMO

At the very least can they bring the gold back to the halo

The gold halo was featured on the 2014 50th anniversary hat. Took MLB 3 weeks to sign off on replacing the silver halo with a gold halo for a single season. Unbelieveable!!.

The new video boards are desperately needed.  Great to hear that news.

While working the Bud Kuhl Invitational at the stadium this past weekend, I was able to confirm the score board upgrade. The RF scoreboard will remain the same size however, the video screen will be enlarged by about 50%. The entire LF scoreboard will be enlarged and will be one big  video screen. All video screens will be HD, just like up the road. In addition, the entire sound system is also being replaced/upgraded.

As for intrastructure, the only thing I noticed was the resturarnt formally known as the Knot Hole (Club Level), is being completely rebuilt.  No idea what it will be. Heard rumors of a self serve cafeteria (???).

I think the worst part is that Arte will keep the Angels in that stadium through 2029. They have a long to-do list.

    1. Get rid of the homeless in that area.

    2. Develop the area surrounding the stadium.

    3. Rip out the rock pile and half the seats in the upper seats in RF and LF and put in some OC or So-Cal specific decor.

    4. Update the playing field itself. Move the bullpen under ground and shorten the gap in left center, push the fence and scoreboard out 15 feet in RF and right center.

    5. Rip out and update the plumbing and bathrooms.

    6. Bring in better concessions (it's a lot better than it was 5 years ago).

    7. Give the exterior portion of the stadium a facelift. Just cosmetic.

    8. State of the art updates everywhere.

I have heard Arte got approval from Anaheim, when he re-negoiated the new lease, to construct 3 parking structures surrounding the stadium. Then develope the perimeter of the stadium (where the parking lot meets the curb) with shops and restrurants. However before upgrading the outside he has to spend $$$ on the intrastructure.

  9. Been watching the LLWS and of the 9 teams that have played so far, only 1 player (from Canada)  stated that Mike Trout was his favorite player.  Oh by the way,  the team from Rancho Santa Maragrita gave MT no love at all!! The player who got the most love from RSM..... Jeter.
