If Gott pitches like he did BEFORE getting to AA and suddenly can't find the plate, I will not be as turned off by this trade.

Losing Rondon and Morris though hurts long term due to lack of key prospects at those spots, no way to sugarcoat that.

For that alone, Street had better deliver.

Gott's just some dude, really.  He wasn't even in the Padres' top 20-30 prospects on most lists coming into the season.

He's terrible, and has been for years.  He had 2 good games early this year.  Wheeee.  He then settled into his true talent level these days--which is to say, not much.  

I couldn't understand why the Angels signed him in the first place, or why they kept him on the 40-man.  Glad to see him and his bad attitude go.

Agreed on that to be sure scout, it scares me that Stamets is the ONLY SS left in the org of any potential. As good as Aybar is this season, he is only under contract through 2016.

...and Stamets is currently hitting a robust .192 with 4 extra base hits in 65 games...

Since coming back from the injury, coming into tonight, he was hitting .268/.339/.396, with 52 K in 168 plate appearances.

Taking him out b/c he's the 4th guy going to SD for Street.

I guess this means the team is pretty much set now.  Can't imagine them being able to put together a trade for anyone substantial with what's left on the farm.

Start looking over their rosters for RPs with walk rates over 5.00.
