Jim reacted to Amazing Larry in Trumped
The pipeline that was to go through Syria was a natural gas pipeline, not an oil pipeline. Try to keep up.

Mine (Ed Royce) tried to get me to sell him one of my photos for his campaign website a few years back. I quoted him a price of $10,000, didn't hear back from them.
Hmm...I wonder if that's why we didn't get a slot to visit the White House.

$20 might cover the dignity, but nothing says class like the mint next to it.

It is interesting seeing Trump try to placate Clinton supporters by bringing in Wall St. schlubs. Because Glen's right, he hammered her on her deep and secretive ties to Wall St. Extending an olive branch to people on the left who were totally cool with those ties is an interesting play.

He is doing both to the audience that is there. They want to hear their relatives died honorably in service to a greater cause than what we bicker about through social media.
Recently, sailors that died in the Pearl Harbor attack are being identified through DNA and removed from unknown soldier graves and returned to the states for full military burials. It is just a gesture to provide some closure to families and most never even knew the deceased because of the generational gap that is growing wider but for those families it is important their brother, uncle, grandfather, even great grandfather is returned . It still has meaning to them as do speeches on Pearl Harbor Day by Admirals that were born after that day but can voice the sentiment of that time period .
I can respect that and even though it is out dated in style it reaches that audience still and gives them rememberance and a sense of value for their loss and for the few left survivors comradarie.

I know there are some non-voters here who probably sympathize with his apathy but he's not even registered to vote...
Everybody is entitled to his/her opinion... just seems odd that a person would make a political spectacle of himself and then not bother to exercise his basic political rights.

Crawl down from the high horse and take a closer look. I didn't say anything. I asked the question. But if you want to press me on it then I'll pick the lives of my family and me over theirs every single time.

right, because they called and expressed desire to congratulate Trump.
you don't think his staff called Taiwan and told them to call Trump and congratulate him on his victory, do you? like when red wants to talk to me, he calls first then my people call him back and inform him of a prearranged time that I will speak with him.
and by my people, i mean Adam.

In general I don't think this is a bad thing. It will be interesting to see what concessions were made on the part of the state and local governments, I'm guessing tax incentives and the like. A big driver of this was Carrier is part of a larger company, UTC, which is a defense supplier, and they had a lot of concerns about federal defense related contracts. I think it's absolutely appropriate to hold that threat over these companies who make a living doing business with the federal government that business needs to be kept onshore.
