  1. This is hilarious. It was a fight, tend to happen between athletes in all major sports. Quentin, like any other player that charges the mound, is at fault here. However, if you were hit three times by the same guy in your career you may get caught up in the heat of the moment. Every time Greinke has hit him its been in the shoulder. One could question intent there. Mattingly and Greinke say you arent trying to hit a guy in that situation which seems logical but the pitch was nowhere near the strike zone. So that begs the question on what he was exactly trying to do there? Doesnt seem like he was trying to get him out exactly. To those who think some precedent needs to be set here, you are wrong. Greinke getting hurt like he did is unfortunate but it could happen. It isnt like Quentin was tearing him apart. How does Quentin, who is slow, outrun Ellis to the mound? Like I said, Quentin is in the wrong but not any more so than any other instigator throughout the years. In the end, Matt Kemp has proven to me that my thoughts on him are correct. Just a hot head douche who doesnt respect the game.
  2. That has only been said a thousand and one times in baseball.
  3. Not really sure how thats a $52 dollar value, I guess with TM fees. 8 bucks at the gate and 5 to park though so its really only $11 off. Already the best value in town and I would rather watch young players struggle and watch them develop than what I have been watching in Anaheim the last few nights.
  4. While I dont agree with the post you are responding to, Pujols wasnt who he was talking about. As for this thread. I wouldn't take this tweet very seriously. It is too damn early to get upset anyways. I am frustrated like any other fan but I am not about to throw in the towel and finger point and call for heads to roll. Nobody, coaches and players, have not performed well as of yet.
  5. A shot for shot conversation. By the way nice black puppet avatar. Need to find one as well.
  6. It was my second time down there. Guys are cool there. They will remember you if you keep going down and will hook you up whenever possible above the bottle limit. They are trying to stop re-sell which has been happening. I have some spots around the South Bay that get it now and then and limit it to one and sell for 8.99. But they say they have heard places re-selling it for 17.99 which makes the brewery look like douches.
  7. Did the same thing as well. While I didnt find any Pure Hoppiness I did find Duet and Nelson.
  8. They could pay me and I still wouldn't eat a Domino's Pizza. Well wait....how much are they paying me?
  9. Liked their first record, got better on the second and this one is topping them all. Came out today.
  10. Headed down to Alpine Brewery and Societe on Sunday. To any real IPA fan this is the mecca of beer. Drank for a few hours and returned home with some Pure Hoppiness, Duet, and Nelson. Impossible to find up here and very hard to find in San Diego. I highly recommend making the drive. Good food and beer and hit up Societe on the way back. Societe is ran by some guys that once worked for The Bruery but left so they could dabble with IPA's. Locally, check out The Dudes Brewery (new comer to the emerging South Bay beer scene), Ohana, Smog City, Monkish (all belgian styles) and El Segundo (Two5Left DIPA).
  11. So by skipping him on off days and say he misses 6 weeks, he will miss 7 starts (would have had 8-9). Those teams: Astros (2)-We have to have someone who can beat them Rangers Mariners Orioles Royals White Sox I see no reason why we shouldn't win four of those games. The issue will be in the bullpen, Richards has been a key component early on.
  12. Funny how Nathan has said he was throwing a ball to see if he would chase and when he didnt swing he was getting ready for Longoria. Yet some Ranger fans (still cant figure out how you have time to seek out an Angels board, register, and continue to post) says it was a strike. Okay buddy
  13. This logo is being used at Dodger Stadium on the Lodge Level. Look familiar to anyone? The sign did direct me to some solid IPA's for a stadium though.
  14. Went to Dodger Stadium wearing my Clemente jersey and survived. I think thats a great start for the Pirates this season
  15. Pretty funny that some think he didn't care and just mailed it in last year.
  16. I don't think it is a misconception really, at least in his past. What do you do for work for you to have the time to travel so often to these minor league towns? Dude only has played one season or less at each stop and you have seen him quite a bit. I have trouble attending 75 or so Angels games plus another 10-20 Cal League games and they are right down the freeways from me.
  17. Hop monk is a cool place. Visited there a few months ago. Scott, her voice was way worse before. We chatted for a bit when I was hanging out by myself fr a bit. Not nearly as bad although still no sayin much
  18. Depends on the growler but if they arent just a screw top its a great purchase. Fresh beer is a necessity.
  19. I spent the last couple days writing my thesis so drinking was needed. The list: Drakes Hopocalypse Knee Deep Simtra Lagunitas Sucks Alpine Nelson Alpine Duet Alpine Pure Hoppiness Pliny Knuckles Troegs Nugget Nectar Growler of Four Peaks Double Knot
  20. Best Atmosphere by far is Lagunitas. Great places: Alpine Brewery, Stone Bistro, Tiki Ti, Rock and Brews, Russian River.....
  21. New Frankie's policy. All non tiki drinks comped including shots. Tiki drinks no longer comped. Her voice improved as well. Place was packed all weekend too, making a killing.
