  1. Yes he is. He is a glut on the bases due to the injury and it has been quite obvious he favors that foot in his swing. While he cant make it worse by playing, he can make it better by sitting. No way should he be playing with the Angels being 10 plus games out as August approaches.
  2. Yesterday at around 1:30 PM I cut out of work and jumped in my car to journey down to San Diego. I have been looking forward to this trip for months and was geeked out as I began the drive. I put on some tunes to enjoy the ride when the freeway came to a stop in Long Beach. Just a little bit of traffic due to the construction through Los Al on the 405, no big deal I had plenty of time since the event wasn't taking place till 5:30. As expected. the freeway opened up and I jumped on it wanting to make up for some lost time. As I hit San Onofre we came to a complete stop. The time 2:30. For the next two and a half hours it was nothing but stop and go traffic all the way to San Diego. A two hour trip became a three and a half hour trip, just ridiculous. However, I pulled in to Balboa Park at 5:00 PM, still have 30 minutes to spare at least. I walk in to the San DIego History Center right as they were closing to the public to get ready for the History Happy Hour. I am told to go wait outside and that they will be opening the doors at 5:30. I could us a little walk anyway and Balboa is beautiful so no big deal. As I exit the museum a gentleman asks me to hold up and that he can use some help setting up. I gladly accepted but didn't want to act like a normal beer geek so I acted like it was no big deal that this was Pat Mcllhenney, owner of Alpine. We start chatting it up as I help carry in the BBQ and beer he had brought along for the event. His son and I hooked up the kegs and began to taste test the beers to make sure they are all fine, the duet and nelson took 3 or 4 glasses to ensure quality for the beer geeks and history nerds that are about to come in. It was a great evening as I was meeting quite a few people from the beer culture down here. At 7 pm they start the screening of Suds County, USA. This is a pretty cool documentary about the history of breweries in SD. I highly recommend it, sudscountyusa.com. Anyway, as I walk out of the screening I go over to thank Pat and his family for a great evening. We are talking and others are winding down. A couple guys come over and I notice that they are all guys who are in the video, Vince from Pizza Port and Tomme the head brewer there. I chat them up for a few and figure that I need to go check into my hotel pretty soon. Pat asks if I want to help shut down and he highly recommends that I stay. He didn't have to pull my arm to stay. As the doors were locked there was about ten of us left. I quickly realize that outside of myself and one Alpine employee, I am at a Quaff event. Growlers quickly hit the table and we all huddle around and begin tasting these home brews from these brewing masters. If you don't know Quaff, you need to. It was just amazing to try all of their experimental beers and the night made it seem like the terrible drive down here was days ago. Now off to Alpine to enjoy some more beer and take him up on my free growler. Then its off to Societe, White Labs, Hess, Helms and possibly Rip Current, Alesmith or Rough Draft. It is going to be a fun day and hopefully top tomorrow. I plan on having 3 or 4 growlers in the cooler by nights end. Bottle share anyone? The one thing last night did was entice me to try and home brew and reiterate how great the craft beer industry is.
  3. Who would have known it was that difficult to karaoke.
  4. Almanac is good stuff for sure. Good time last night at Slaters. As always, it was good to see Scott, Jason and Brandon. Thanks for coming out and supporting The Dudes.
  5. Exactly Brandon. Like I said, highly irresponsible. Duvel Green all morning long, ah the good ol days.
  6. Only place in Anaheim that really gets good crafts is Out of the Park Pizza but it is just pizza. The Catch is probably your best bet and wont be crowded really unless there is a game.
  7. Selling a yard of 120 would be highly irresponsible and a lawsuit in the waits.
  8. Tonight the Dudes bring their beer lineup to Slaters 50/50 Anaheim Beer Lineup: Double Trunk (DIPA 10.8%)- This is one of the easiest drinking 11 % beers I have had. Grandmas Pecan-English Brown Ale Raspberry Wheat- Great beer actually and I thought I would hate it, much more complex than the average wheat beer. Kolschtal Eddy
  9. Really? It kind of popped up everywhere a while back up here for a couple weeks. It will be at the Blue Palms once again for their anniversary. Take a look at their website and beer list so far. You may want to make the drive....
  10. Should have had an Or Xata but glad you made it over there to have the habanero
  11. Only if you are shooting up while humming it.
  12. 2 million views. Go figure.
  13. Are you all ready? Looking forward to trying this one at Blue Palms at their Anniversary party. http://www.beerpulse.com/2013/07/stone-17th-anniversary-gotterdammerung-ipa-debuts-in-three-weeks-953/
  14. Intersting. That is the first time I have seen that. Other articles were much more cryptic. I could continue to go and back and forth but ultimately we all agree that ARod is an idiot, which we already knew.
  15. Where did you read that his "consultant" prescribed anything to any patient?
  16. Snoop is President of Priority Records now and actually does quite a bit with urban youths. He is far from that hood rich mentality. However, these guys made a choice based on money while other artists choose to deliver a positive message and are willing to sacrifice some of the fame and money.
  17. The said doctor prescribed steroids in situations where it was beneficial to the patient. That isnt reckless. He was not seeing professional athletes according to reports. Could he possibly be exposed at some point? Sure but as of now saying that he recklessly prescribed steriods is dishonest and highly inaccurate from all I have read. With all that said, ARod should have never asked for a second opinion. Sounds like a player who wants to get on the field before it is taken from his for good.
  18. Recklessly is highly inaccurate from all I have read
  19. Not only all good, but those three will have you going good the rest of the night.
  20. Bruce, I love music and I follow many sites for new artists. lots of misses but every once in awhile you find something you like. This popped up some time in the last year.
  21. I thought you would all love it as much as I did. This song actually came up a few weeks ago at the brewery. We were drinking and started trying to one up each other, I won obviously.
  22. Unloading half your offense is really not a smart thing to do ever and I am sure those who say they would rather watch that would change their tune rather quickly, think Astros. Not sure why you all think this team couldnt win with a bit of tweaking next year.
  23. Anything by Die Antwood. Just skip to a couple minutes in and listen to her, I swear anyone can make music these days. Damn Euros love this though, just shows how backwards they are
  24. He could have and should have went to third though
