I'm in Japan right now and have been asking everyone I can (through my Japanese speaking friend) for their opinion on the matter since I think their speculation has slightly more merit. The Yankees seem to be the consensus as to where they think he wants to go. Still all speculation, but thought it was interesting.

JB Abell got a reaction from Team Cooley in WHAT do we have to do to get back on top?
The difference is the dodgers pitching has been solid all year and now they have Grienke back. Puig sparked the offense and that was all they needed. The angels are struggling in every area from starting to relief pitching, to leading the league in errors, having tons if injuries and having an incredibly inconsistent offense. Too many holes.

Too bad there's 2 outs. Howie doesn't get a chance at a double play.

Pretty sick of hearing this. The guy is hitting over.300 with RISP. He isn't that great with 2 outs and RISP, but he isn't pujols or Kendrick hitting into DP's every time a big play comes up even though pujols came through tonight.
Trout went 3 for 5 tonight, but yeah its his fault. Its always his fault for getting on base 3 times a game and coming through with RISP. When the rest of the team fails to do anything all game until the last inning and then Trout gets out its definitely his fault for not being clutch.
He was clutch when he got a HR with RISP. I mean, nobody around him is hitting. Trout is young and he's the focus of every pitcher. Nobody worries about pujols or Hamilton. Plus all these clutch situations everyone calls him out on are all late in the game when its usually a pitcher Trout hasn't seen yet and we all know one of his best attributes is adjusting, which you can't do facing a pitcher once.
If he got a hit half the time i heard someone on here say he isn't clutch the guy would be hitting .400. If the guys around him were hitting he wouldn't need to be clutch in the late innings

The bullpen has potential to be decent and the giants won the world series last year with half of their pitchers struggling. Lincecum last year makes Blanton seem like nothing. if Hamilton and pujols start really producing anything could happen. That is an enormous "if" though

rangers would have won anyway without the tigers' bad defense. washington is so stupid so that he tried to give the game back by bringing in kirkman with the bases loaded. and you guys think scioscia is bad.

The worst thing the angels can do is pick up anyone from Texas. Always turns out terrible. Plus they have shown that when it comes down to it, if they somehow made it to the world series, these guys would fail anyways.

JB Abell got a reaction from 2002_halos_II in We Don't Have A Clubhouse Leader
A leader in sports doesn't have to necessarily have to be someone who calls guys out, doesn't have to be someone who went to college for leadership training, doesn't even have to be a guy having a stellar season. A good leader in baseball knows how to keep the energy up. Someone who can create unity. i mean look at the giants. Hunter Pence has been their leader. Last year Pence came to the giants half way through the season and only hit like .220 for them but it was him giving speeches before every game getting them fired up all the way through to a world series championship.
Torii did this for the angels. Sure they didn't get very far and in 2010 didn't even have a .500 record, but they never looked this pathetic. Leading the league in errors, tied for the worst start in angels history, and just looking like a minor league team trying to make it in the big leagues. Maybe Howie can step up, I don't really see anyone else that would fit the role. If Mike Trout weren't so young he could. Either way they would still be losing a ton of games.
And to everyone saying that Torii Hunter being a leader is just speculation, Mike Trout and Howie Kendrick have both been quoted about his great leadership and infectious personality. Its not some mystery, it was pretty obvious. More so last year, especially once Trout came in. He was a fan favorite and a leader in the clubhouse.

"Resolving Hamilton" sounds like one of those late-90s/early-00s present-participle verb/noun movie titles.  Saving Silverman, Boxing Helena, etc.
