Perhaps the angels ought to 'roid him up.  For however long he gets away with it he'll be better.  When he gets caught he gets suspended before starting to suck again.  Win-win.

Look at who they are throwing.  His ERA is over 7 I believe.  Before complaining about our pitcher watch what some other clubs have to throw.  Baltimore also had s guy with ERA over 7 and he got crushed. 

Another terrible reliever.  Why is it so hard to find relievers that throw strikes.  For all teams?

Don't swing. I think this guys thrown 4-5 actual strikes. 

You think pujols spends more time on his swing or grooming his beard these days?

Why would they take out hamels at 91 pitches.  Gonna tear down this bullpen.

I still can't put a whole lot of value in these contrived sutuational stats.

Here is why.

A guy gets a one out double bases empty.

The next guy doubles him in.   This guy gets all the credit for hitting with a runner in scoring position but the raw fact is he did exactly what the first guy did.  They both doubled.  There is literally no more value in the second double as the first.  None.

A grand slam in the 3rd inning to tie the game gets no credit for being "clutch" (It wasn't close or late) but a guy that struck out with the bases loaded three times in a game (choked 3 times im big at bats) that then gets an infield single in the eight to pull one run ahead is Mr. Clutch?

 

 

 

What?!?  The second double carries much more value.  It scores the run.  I'll take 3 doubles in a row than 6 doubles stranded over 9 innings.

Pujols star power is relevant.  But that part is fading.  He needs to be hitting 6th starting now.

Going forward, I hope the Angels are seriously not so stupid that they think their financial obligation should force them to play Pujols  (if there is another option better).

 

Imagine you have a budget though.  Since you are already paying for the crappy razors you can't afford to go buy different better ones.  Would you shave with crappy razors or have your electricity shut off cause you wanted to pay twice for razors?

Maybe arte should waive the $25 checked bag fee for the players if they win the getaway game.  

I do find it interesting that calzone was banned by chuckster for too much criticism of the team and then a few days later he starts not one, but two separate threads ripping on players which essentially invites others to throw their insults in.....

I love their bullpen.  They all suck.  One worse than the next.

While the umpires have been shaky at best this series, that was a good pitch.  We have huge advantage already, gonna be a blowout today.  8-2 angels.

By the way, the Rays walked off in ninth.

No matter the pitching matchup the angels are a better team and should be favored again.  Work the counts to shorten the starter and get into their bullpen.
