In all fairness, I think it’s that giant double eared helmet that he’s always worn that makes his head look incredibly tiny.

Big payroll, small payroll.. They’re not going to the playoffs either so who cares. I just dislike the A’s.

We’ll see where they are at the end of the year.

Uh, did you notice that the A's are currently in the second wild card spot and playing pretty darn good ball right now.  You think the Mariners are going to pull it out?  One or the other is making it.

Unless Trout has a 10 strikeout game as a starting pitcher, and hit 2-3 home runs in the same week, I'll go ahead and say Ohtani is a more complete baseball player.

Trout is a better hitter, that's it. I'm sure Ohtani can play an elite RF, so defense is debatable.

And I’ll take the guy that has been the best player by far for 8 years over the guy that has pitched 8 games and has less than half a year of at baTs with a huge hole in his hitting.

I get sitting Ohtani even against a struggling LHP like Duffy, since he's struggled against LHP (sub .150 BA).

Unfortunately, Marte hasn't done much better over the past few weeks, and so it's really by elimination that he is starting.

One caveat: Duffy has been much better over his past two starts (13.2 innings, 2 earned runs, 14 baserunners).

The Halos top 4 relievers wish they had the command that the Royals top 4 relievers have had.   In 91 innings, Herrera, Keller, McCarthy, and Hill have combined to allow just 72 hits and 19 BBs (1.00 WHIP, under 2 BBs per 9 innings), albeit just 69 Ks.    Even the Royals have a much better pen than the Halos currently!

    Yeah their bullpen is stellar.

  4. Why sweat this early in the season, getting into the playoffs at least should not be that hard.

The Orioles, Tigers, White Sox, Twins, Royals and Rangers are all out of it already.

Division Winners:  Red Sox/Yankees, Indians, Astros.

One Wild card will the the other Red Sox/Yankees non division winner.

Fighting for the last will card with the A's, Mariners, Rays, Blue Jays.

The Angels seem the least flawed of all those teams.  The most competition will come from in the division, just need to focus on winning there.  Already a good start.
