In all fairness, I think it’s that giant double eared helmet that he’s always worn that makes his head look incredibly tiny.
Big payroll, small payroll.. They’re not going to the playoffs either so who cares. I just dislike the A’s.
We’ll see where they are at the end of the year.
Uh, did you notice that the A's are currently in the second wild card spot and playing pretty darn good ball right now. You think the Mariners are going to pull it out? One or the other is making it.

Unless Trout has a 10 strikeout game as a starting pitcher, and hit 2-3 home runs in the same week, I'll go ahead and say Ohtani is a more complete baseball player.
Trout is a better hitter, that's it. I'm sure Ohtani can play an elite RF, so defense is debatable.
And I’ll take the guy that has been the best player by far for 8 years over the guy that has pitched 8 games and has less than half a year of at baTs with a huge hole in his hitting.

Yeah a pitcher on the DL and a platoon dh that can’t hit lefties is way better than trout.

He’ll never leave the team that gave him his chance

While it probably wouldn’t have changed anything, what the hell was pooholes doing on the basepaths in the 9th. Any pinch runner would have gotten 2nd prolly on fielders indifference.

Hey there are managers as idiotic as scioscia. Wondering why their pitcher even started that inning. Moron.

Anybody know any stats regarding the margin of hits vs the margin of loss. How unusual to out hit a team by 2, and lose by 7. Gotta be a record or something.
-
Marte with a green light on 3-0 count down 3 runs?!?
-
No one in the AL hits homers.
Signed,
mike Trout.

As just a baseball fan one of my growing pet peeves is pitchers (and more specifically relief pitchers) walking lead off guys with multi run leads. A reds reliever walked the first two today with a three run lead, both nobodies too. Both these guys ended up scoring as the 3 run lead went away. Not a fan of either team but still get frustrated for crap like that.

Treinen gave up three runs to the angels on April 6th to take a loss.

I get sitting Ohtani even against a struggling LHP like Duffy, since he's struggled against LHP (sub .150 BA).
Unfortunately, Marte hasn't done much better over the past few weeks, and so it's really by elimination that he is starting.
One caveat: Duffy has been much better over his past two starts (13.2 innings, 2 earned runs, 14 baserunners).
The Halos top 4 relievers wish they had the command that the Royals top 4 relievers have had. In 91 innings, Herrera, Keller, McCarthy, and Hill have combined to allow just 72 hits and 19 BBs (1.00 WHIP, under 2 BBs per 9 innings), albeit just 69 Ks. Even the Royals have a much better pen than the Halos currently!
Yeah their bullpen is stellar.

And the last pitch there was a strike. Umps handing one to the angels now, just gotta take it.
-
For those of you griping that the umpires are always against the angels, two of the balls to Maldonado on that walk were strikes according to mlb.com. A gift.

This orioles team is pathetic.
-
The real question is: could he dh and pitch in the same game, then remain as the dh if knocked out as pitcher?

Why sweat this early in the season, getting into the playoffs at least should not be that hard.
The Orioles, Tigers, White Sox, Twins, Royals and Rangers are all out of it already.
Division Winners: Red Sox/Yankees, Indians, Astros.
One Wild card will the the other Red Sox/Yankees non division winner.
Fighting for the last will card with the A's, Mariners, Rays, Blue Jays.
The Angels seem the least flawed of all those teams. The most competition will come from in the division, just need to focus on winning there. Already a good start.

The fuck is pujols swinging at again?
He keeps swinging at the worst pitches possible. He's either an egomaniac who thinks he can hit anything, or just a total moron.
Worst yet. A moronic egomaniac who thinks he can hit anything.

Is Upton going to be this years Pujols. Great when it counts the least.
-
Porcello will give it back.

Answered one of the questions I always had regarding at bats with runners on and in scoring position. With trout and his 450 obp there always seemed to be guys on. Pujols quotes certainly shoot down any thoughts about early retirement. Even as one of the least valuable players in the league, he is convinced he is helping the team.

Watching the growth of pujols from an annoying high average line drive power hitter to s speedy slap hitting singles hitter with some RBI.
Gameday: 8/12. A’s @ Angels
