  1. Agreed. . plus he'll have the best medical help available, so that should give him a good chance to heal quicker than average. Oh, and I went back and re-read a little; the Plantar Facia is a ligament.
  2. Not for the average case, AO. There are little tears in muscle or tendon or whatever it is and they just need a long time to heal. If by some miracle we turn things around and have a chance to make a playoff run, then as long as he can stand it, keep playing him. If by the ASB we're still battling Houston for last place then I would hope they shut him down for the year.
  3. I give Albert credit for playing through a painful condition. I did a little reading about Plantar Fascitis and it appears a couple weeks or months on the DL probably wouldn't do much good- it takes around a year of rest and therapy to heal fully. I think they just let him keep grinding it out until we get some other guys back and healthy, than assess where we are as a team. If and when we get to the point where a playoff run is totally out of the ream of possibility, then I hope they just give him the rest of the season off to rehab so he'll be ready for next year. It's not a good situation any way you look at it.
  4. Bullpen actually did well last night. I'm giving Ray the credit.
  5. Hamilton and the bullpen came through. I'm buying some lottery tickets today. Nice to see our team win again; lets keep it going fellas!
  6. Another former excels with another team. No changes with our coaching staff needed, tho.
  7. So your going to watch a guy play with puppets instead of watching our team??? Band-wagoner.
  8. Oxycontin and Jack Daniels would be more appropriate with this team.
  9. Sadly, 'Looks Good On Paper' is all we have this year.
  10. Lasorda: "I know my time is comin', but if that's the Grim Reaper, I ain't goin'. . ."
  11. Meanwhile, Santana and Wells are playing like All-Stars with their new teams. Draw your own conclusions.
  12. I was born in Long Beach one year after the Angels started, and my old man started taking me to games at the Big A in '67. I've been a Halos fan since; always will be. I'm looking forward to watching Vargas pitch tonight (well, listening- MLB.com seems to think Tulsa is in the Houston viewing area even though we're 500 miles from there) and seeing if Hamilton can finally get it together and seeing what Trout and Trumbo do. I'll hope they win just like I've done every Angel game for 40+ years. But there is a lot wrong with this team and this organization right now; this may not be the worse Angels team ever, but so far they are the most frustrating and disappointing. I'll watch, I'll hope, I'll bitch, I'll care. . but I don't blame anyone who decides they have better things to do with their life then watch this team play. In fact, I kind of envy them.
  13. . . .Tiger Woods hits Perkins waitresses.
  14. That little kid has a better approach to his at-bat than Hamilton.
  15. I was pissed off when I realized MLB.com thinks Tulsa is somehow in Houston's tv market and blacked the game out here online. Now I'm thinking of writing them a thank you note.
  16. Well, that was a waste of a Sunday afternoon.
  17. Tomorrow is an off day and we have Houston coming up in a three game series It would be a perfect time for a major shake up for our team. Just make it happen Arte; it's time.
  18. Good job by Scioscia; it took three pitching changes but he finally found the reliever who would give up a run.
