In the last 5 games he has more hits and RBIs than Mike Trout and struck out only once compared to Trout's 5 whiffs.

Poor us, we have an owner that has spent year after year to field a competitive team. Has his spending worked the last couple years? No, but he isn't afraid to spend money. That D-Bag has taken a team that has one of the lowest tv ratings in all of baseball if not the actual lowest, and gotten them a $3 billion TV contract. Remember when Jackie sold the team? She said its because Anaheim was a small market, well not anymore. He changed the name, big effing deal, it worked. Get over it.

Seriously.  Baseball is easy.  I once saw God of Runs take two pitches in one t-ball game. 

Why after the All Star game if some of these guys are playing? You would think he would want to purge the cheaters instead of putting them on display on national TV.

Indeed the team is playing exceptional ball over the past few weeks. If they can get the defense squared up, they'll be in prime shape for a second half run.
 
Would love to see them sweep the Cubs and perhaps give Albert the weekend off when they play the Mariners. A full week of rest to relieve that plannar ailment would be ideal.

I really don't understand this thread. Orel said many times that the Angels outplayed the Red Sox throughout the course of the broadcast. You have a former Dodger, former Philly and a Canadian play by play guy up there. While ESPN in general has a bias, I certianly didn't hear it in this game, especially as the game went along and went the way it did. There was one Rangers vs Tigers Sunday night game where they hardly talked about the Rangers....I didn't hear that tonight. They called out Shuck and Trumbo on crappy defense, they gushed over Trout, talked about Albert's injuries and how he should be DLed, they were even praising Hamilton. They said Howie Kendrick should be an all star.
 
Somebody mentioned they they showed Pedroia's hot zone...they showed Hamilton's as well. That was when he had a called 3r dstrike despite it being out of the zone....did you complainers even watch the whole broadcast?
 
 
I think the difference is I think Victor and Mark are TOTAL ANGEL HOMERS, and if you interpret what they do as 'normal' for a broadcast, I can see why a national broadcast would be frustrating to you.

That was one of the best swings I've seen from him all year. He looked really locked in and his swing was effortlessly smooth. Hopeful that his pitch recognition is back on track. Gotta hand it to him for staying positive and working through what must feel like a demoralizing 10 to 12 months of poor performance.

I don't have a problem with honoring M.Rivera. As far as I can remember he wasn't involved with drunk driving, beating his wife with a phone and not taking any cheap shots at anyone. The man has been a class act and went about his business the right way. So give the man a few minutes and let the Angels brass take a few photo's with him and then beat the tar out of the Yankees so as to not allow Rivera a chance to get another save in Anaheim.

I watch because I'm a fan. Regardless of the Angels' current struggles, it's still a great game and always a welcome distraction.

i'll put in my .02 without reading the thread. i couldn't give a shit about which song is played in the 7th inning stretch. they want to play buttercup? fine, it's a fun song. now focus on winning some ****ing games.
