You are so off.. I applaud what teams like the Cubs and Astros are doing... If I'm a fan of one of those teams, I get excited knowing they will be in a great position to win in 2-3 years. Fans like you seem content with being mediocre every year, while bashing other fans for expecting more out of this org. It's rather tiresome and annoying.

Seems like there aren't many contenders that need MI help. If KC is looking to go for it all instead of sell, then they might be the only team in need of MI help. Possibly the Orioles could be looking for help at 2b?

Well lets not forget how good Hamilton was. He was definitely a top 5-10 player. If he can regain that status next year, I'm sure a lot of teams would be willing to grab him for 3 years. Then again, the Angels would probably want to keep him if he somehow reverted back to his old self.

Well there's no way of trading Pujols and the only way a team would take on Hamilton is if he magically turns it around next season.

Yea lets give another mid 30s guy with an injury history a big contract. They need to stay as far away from utley as possible. The angels have no other real options at 2b and SS. Would make zero sense to trade Aybar or Kendrick for a 4th or 5th starter. They are also relatively cheap for the value that they bring. If JerryD can get a 3rd starter, then I'm all for it, but I don't see them having such value. I also wouldn't mind the him trading for a type A pitching prospect, but then the Angels would probably need to look to rebuild.

I don't think it's fair to compare his OPS to every position. He is a DH/1b, which are the two positions you want the most production of offense from. His .771 OPS would rank 18nth out of 24 players if he qualified for enough abs at 1b.
