    shuck's defense isnt good either, he often misreads the ball and has to make up for it by diving. I'd rather have a guy who reads the ball correctly and makes the catch standing up.

    what do all of you see in shuck that makes you think he should make the opening roster? he's really a terrible backup OF.

    I was thinking this also, whatever lack of production we get from replacing aybar(not much) would be made up from romine's defense, so it would probably be close to a wash. I also like how romine works the counts, i was tired of seeing pitchers enter the 7th inning last year with only 50 pitches, the hack-at-everything duo aybar and kendrick are a huge reason why.

    3-21, 3 singles, .158 avg, no extra base hits, 1 rbi, but you're not at all concerned?

    long can hit 1.000 and he still wont make the team. schuck will make it even though he doesn't provide any value to the team. no speed, poor defense, no power, scioscia already has his favorites everyone else may as well leave.

    replayed showed he was out by like 3 feet. whats the point of replay if they still cant get the call right lol.

    i know its spring but i swear we saw this lackadaisical attitude last year way too many times and it just looks like they are phoning it in.

    i literally missed that half of the inning, it was like 15 seconds long. it looks like they are just phoning it in to get the game over with....if i was scioscia i would not allow that stuff to go on because it's only going to get worse during the season.

    so how do you figure after not hitting minor league pitchers in spring training that he will magically learn how to hit major league pitching during the season?

    has looked pretty good, but has only used his curveball once which is strange because i thought it was his best pitch.

    angels are terrible at situational hitting. part of the reason is the way mike scioscia constructs the lineup.
