i would definitely take lee if he keeps up that inherited runner mark lol
i think preventing inherited runners from scoring is an actual skill, but that's just my opinion. some people rise to the occasion, some dont - just like being a closer.
stopping inherited runners from scoring is the most important thing you want out of a reliever. to discount it and act is if it's not an essential part of his job is pretty baffling.
as for kohn, he has a good arm and good stuff but it's wasted because he cant find the strike zone most of the time. how many times has he walked the lead off hitter on 4 pitches now? too many to count any more. again not what you want out of a reliever. he got away with it last night, but it will catch up to him eventually.
i agree bedrock, alvarez, sisk, and morin are coming soon. its just right now the team isnt ready to win yet so they are holding them back. i see the strategy now, the goal is to stay in 3rd place. got it.
i agree that scioscia is terrible at bullpen management, but jerry is partly at fault, he traded talent away for salas, he wasted 7m on jerry blanton - money that could have been used on relief.
i dunno, you would think 2 guys who have been in baseball as long as scioscia and dipoto can recognize that herrera's stuff is not even below average...its completely garbage.
yep pretty much the same feeling the last 2 seasons.
but i feel like they are gonna win this game only because the Indians are bad and likely wont take advantage of the angels weaknesses like the a's or rangers would.
