  1. Cheesecake is awesome. Two of my favorite things combined to form a lactose rich ambrosia. My favorite is pineapple upside down cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.
  2. http://gawker.com/russell-brand-may-have-started-a-revolution-last-night-1451318185 It seems like a lot of people hate the guy. I've always thought he was funny and it turns out he's pretty smart too.
  3. I'll have to check it out. It's just hard for me to take Channing in a wife beater seriously. I love Die Hard. It's my favorite Christmas movie.
  4. I got a chance to watch Olympus Has Fallen and really liked it. I enjoy good action thrillers and this delivered. It definitely looked better than the version with the always impressive Channing Tatum. Outside of 21 Jump Street, he's pretty bad. Gerard Butler was a badass, as I expected.
  5. I grew up ok with black olives, greek olives came years later, and now I'm a fiend for stuffed green olives. Blue cheese stuffed, garlic stuffed, jalapeno stuffed... the list goes on.
  6. I'll keep an ear out since one of the local radio stations has been giving a discount code every Friday for the past few weeks.
  7. Guacamole. I really just started enjoying guacamole within the past 3-4 years. The worst part is that my family makes amazing guacamole. You can put it on so much stuff !
  8. Got my ticket to the Brewer's Guild Beer Fest. Now I just wish there was a beer list so I could start strategizing. Premier ticket was $40 (early entrance plus 5 extra tastings) with a discount code from 94.9fm. On Friday the code was "flash."
  9. I watched Toy Story of Terror last night and I thought it was really good. Pixar doesn't put out bad stuff. The shorts that they have before most of their movies are always awesome. I think this one is my favorite.
  10. As far as who is feeding the rats to walkers, I'm pretty sure it's the little girl who was naming them. Idiot. I watched a minute of the show after called Talking Dead and they said they based the new sickness on an actual flu outbreak from the early 1900's. You'd show symptoms in the afternoon and be dead by night. Crazy stuff. Also, Michonne is being a big wuss about her ankle.
  11. The one event so far that I was willing to shell out a few bucks for was Stone's Rare Beer Breakfast. $65 gets you quite a bit. It's almost worth it for the food alone. http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/475060
  12. San Diego Beer Week is fast approaching and I am hoping to go to quite a few more events this year than I did last year. I'll most likely be kicking it off with Russian River Night in Encinitas the Friday is starts and then the Brewer's Guild Fest the next day. I'll probably hit up a couple more events during the week too.
  13. Not at all. I've seen the word a few times in here and don't get the appeal. Not big on creatine either, but mostly for the same reasons already mentioned. Although there are a few out there that aren't as bad with retaining a ton of water.
  14. I've never understood the point of steroids. Fake gains that you lose in a month, wrecking your liver, acne, then having to cycle onto estrogen so you don't get manboobs... no thanks. Hard work > Injectable muscles.
  15. http://www.buzzfeed.com/jpmoore/a-tattoo-artists-revenge-on-his-cheating-girlfrie This is a total rush job. It's like he didn't even care to make it look good.
  16. You can't make a lemon meringue pie without breaking some eggs... for the meringue. It's past breakfast so I didn't want to go with the usual omelette anecdote.
  17. There is no way I would ever be able to justify paying half of that amount for a haircut. Maybe if it was buy one, get the rest of the year free it would be worth it. Maybe.
  18. I don't go to Planet Fitness. LA Fitness has way more stuff to lift up and put down.
  19. I heard that the whole thing was actually part of a growing trend of people participating in real-life GTA missions. The woman was actually a hooker and he stole the baby. After mowing down the bikers, I'm pretty sure it's a new high score.
  20. There's a newish Pizza Port by my work in Carlsbad and they have an awesome lunch special. I had a Costco sized pepperoni slice, big salad, and a pint of Pizza Port's Attrition Imperial IPA (9.5 % ABV) for 7 bucks and some change. The only deal better would be $7 worth of Tina's frozen burritos.
  21. I had some time to kill on Saturday morning so I decided to check out the new Dredd movie. I'm a big fan of the original in all of its campy glory. Rob Schneider and a family of cannibal cyborgs, come on. The new one was a lot darker and kinda stressful at parts. Overall it was decent. No one beats Sly at saying "I am the law !"
