  1. It was pretty awesome. More booze tables than food. We figured it was a good time to leave when a guy in a kilt smashed a glass soda bottle on the floor and walked away.
  2. The Henderson Pettis fight was good, but nothing compared to their first fight. I rewatched it on Saturday to get excited for that night. Pettis is awesome. Tought to say who can take him out, but there are a ton of great 155-ers. Some of the guys who used to fight at Light weight are dropping to Feather Weight (Edgar and Guida) but that division is tough as well with guys like Mendes and Aldo. I'm also interested to see what happens in the Middle Weight division with Silva out of the picture. It's wide open at this point. I really want someone to take out GSP as well. He's gotten really boring in his last few fights.
  3. Today marks the beginning of no booze for two months and stricter diet. I've already got tons of ideas for good food though, so I'm not as worried about that part. Not sure if I'm gonna try a thermogenic to expedite the process yet.
  4. I started going to the gym again with some frequency and have seen gains in strength and endurance but haven't lost much weight. I'm going to TRY not to drink for a couple months and eat cleaner and hopefully the results will come. I've heard from a lot of people that once they cut out alcohol they drop a bunch of weight. SD Beer Week will be my reward.
  5. I had a little more than 2 pints worth of Ruin Ten last night. My headache this morning and strong desire for more Gatorade is a good reminder of the punch that it packs.
  6. Aaron-Just found Supplication at Royal Liqour in Encinitas. They still have 8 bottles left. A little pricey at $15.99 but I grabbed one.
  7. I'm going to a store called Country Wine and Spirits in Carlsbad tomorrow morning. They show Supplication on their list of available beers, but when I called this morning they said they didn't have any but that they're probably getting a RR delivery tomorrow.
  8. Nice. I just know that they can be hard to come by since they're such a sought after offering from RR. If anybody lives near Clairemont in SD, the liquor store is right next to a taco shop called Don Diego's. I'm in North County, so it was a lucky find.
  9. The lady found a spot that had both RR Consecration and Temptation, so those are on the way. I'm also looking into a spot that claims to have Supplication. Fingers crossed that they do. I'd be willing to trade one of them for a BA SS, VC SS, or Stone Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout.
  10. During SD Beer Week they do a SS night at O'Brien's. Tried to go last year but it was packed. I read online that it was suggested to take a muffin tin. I thought it was a joke, but when I got there I saw quite a few people with them. I'm hoping to make it for this event this time around. Went to Ballast Point pepper beer night instead. Also, I'm pretty bummed that I wasn't able to snag a bottle of Stone's Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout.
  11. City of Angels. I still can't eat a pear without tearing up.
  12. Here is the link to the beer list for Stone's 17th Anniversary. Looks like some pretty awesome stuff. Plus, Russian River and Lost Abbey haven't announced what they're bringing yet. http://www.stonebrew.com/anniv/beerlist/

  14. Anything with the Rock. The Rundown in particular. I'm also a sucker for ninja movies. American Ninja 1-4, Beverly Hills Ninja, Ninja Assassin. I'll watch anything that has "Ninja" in the title.
  15. Ballast Point beers are crazy expensive. I went to buy a sixer of Sculpin and another of Yellowtail, both in cans, and the total came out to $30 ! Sculpin alone was $16. I put them back and got a 12 pack of Pacificos.
  16. I had Drake's Denogginizer last week. It was good and the first I've had from them. I want to try more. I also want to have a pint of that Or Xata I keep seeing on here.
  17. I really want to try the w00tstout. I live down the street from the Oside tasting room, so hopefully I can make it over while they still have it on tap.
  18. She just needs to remember to cut to the chase. I hope she can carve her own niche in the industry. This will really help sharpen her interpersonal skills.
  19. I heard that this week the Blitzkrieg Bucket is only Nein Nein Nein !
  20. http://www.westcoastersd.com/ This is a great site for beer news from all over SD. I didn't see a specific beer release date list, but it could be there somewhere. Tap Hunter is also pretty great, and they have an app.
  21. I actually made it out to Churchill's for this also. It was later in the afternoon. Of the three I tried, the Paardebloem was probably my favorite. I like Churchill's.
