  1. Man, this sucks... Another great musician down in 2016. Prince was one artist I hadn't had the chance to see live yet. Was hoping catch a show the next time he came around.

  3. Don't forget about Sean Burnett, Dude threw what, 10 inn for them over the course of 2-3 years. That's another 15 mil down the drain.
  4. Id be cool with Santiago or Wilson, but that's about all id give up for him.
  5. What a terrible deal... and to take on pretty much the whole contract on top of it? That was some MLB The Show shit right there.
  6. Most people seem to love it and I'm fine with that. Its better than everyone hating on the films like they did with the prequels. I actually like how they handled the big three. It didnt really feel like straight up fan service, and they didn't outshine they new cast. That aspect of the film was well done imo. I'm planning to see it again this week, I should have a better idea on what it was that was off to me. Hell, I might even like it better the second time.
  7. Wasn't sure how I felt about it coming out of the theater last night, I can almost say I disliked the movie. Now that I've had some time to digest what I saw I'm begining to like it a little more. The acting was good (for a SW film), the story was decent and there was plenty of action. Overall i feel it was a good addition to the saga. I will add this and maybe it was just me but, There was just something off about it, I can't really put my finger on it. Maybe it was the pacing or the cinematography, I don't know... I'm not really sure at this point. I'll definitely have to see it again. The final scene was probably my favorite in the whole movie, really leaves me wanting more. Only 16 and half months until EP 8.
  8. The long wait is finally about to end... 3.5 hours until The Force Awakens for me!
  9. I guess I don't mind this deal as long as they bring in a few bullpen arms.
  10. They take on one bad salary four years ago(Wells), due to an incompetent GM. So that must mean they'll take any teams over priced trash? In no way are the Angels the most logical fit for Ramirez, I don't care how much money Boston eats. They have no where to play him when he isn't on the DL and I'd prefer they didn't waste what little money they have to spend on a DH.
  11. Impressive, Thanks for sharing, Chuck. Your daughter has some skills that's for sure and she'll only get better with time and practice. Also, live shows at 12 years old? That's crazy. I would have shit my pants being on stage at that age.
  12. Just hearing about this now. I'm damn near speachless after this move, not really sure I like it. I mean Simmons is legit defensivly, but can he hit? I'm just not seeing this a much of an upgrade and the farm took a huge hit. Going to need some time to let this one sink in. Totally unexpected.
  13. Yes, but i'd hate to spoil the movie for you or anyone else reading this thread.btw we do get a quick glimpse of him in the last two trailers. The hooded figure you see put his hand on R2 is Luke.
  14. After almost three hours of trying to get on Fandango last night, I was finally able to get through and lock my tickets down! Midnight on the 17th. That trailer was F'n awesome... I'm so ready for this movie.
  15. 22-9 vs your Rangers since the start of last year, yeah, that's getting spanked the last couple years. Why bother coming to an ANGELS fan site to defend your team?
  16. I was at that game as well and I would agree. When Aybar hit that triple late in the game to give them the lead the stadium erupted. Loudest I can say I've ever heard while at a game. And after the game I gotthe sense that most people were well aware of the teams past with Boston and what it meant to be on the verge of sweeping them.
  17. Can't really complain about any of the moves made over the last week. Bench has been improved as well as the LF situation, for some cash and a few minor leaguers of no consequence. I'm pleased with the way things have gone down.
  18. I'm assuming they are done on the offensive side of things for now. Would be nice to bring in another bullpen arm, but i don't think its a must. Gotta give Bill some credit, he stepped in on short notice and made some shit happen without depleting any of the teams pitching depth.
  19. All they gave up was Stamets? Awesome deal. Made some solid upgrades without giving up much of anything.
  20. I was kind of hoping for Bruce, but I'm cool with this as long as they didn't give up much.
  21. Wow...this is a very unexpected trade. I actually believed the Rockies FO when they said they weren't looking to deal him a month or two ago.
  22. Not a bad depth move, I like it, epsecially since Boston is paying most of the remaining money on his contract. With this move and the Gillaspie trade I feel like they have significantly improved the bench. Add a starting LF and maybe another bullpen arm and the Angels will be gtg for the playoffs.
  23. We all know offense was way up during those years, but I decided to take a look at just how much. 45 players hit 30 or more HRs in 1999(Vaughns first year here) and 13 of those players hit 40 or more. Last year there were 11 players that hit 30 or more and one at 40. That's just insane. I miss the steroid era.
