Ibanez had a good AB against Masterson in April. I like our chances here.

Ibanez is 2-5 with 2 BB and 2 runs scored this series. That performance has earned him another month as a starter. If he gets a hit today you can pretty much forget about him being released this year.

I just posted these numbers in the GDT and figured id post them here as more proof that Albert needs to be dropped from the third spot in the line up. In 82 ABs with runners in scoring postion Pujols is batting .159/.277/.256/.533. With the bases empty .309/.342/.626/.968.

Hey, I'm not defending the playing time Ibanez is getting by any means. Just trying to find some reason why he's still getting this many ABs cause it just doesn't make any sense to me.

Ibanez is batting .256/.333/.487/.821 with runners in scoring position not great, but compare that to Pujols' .159/.277/.256/.533 and it starts looking a lot better. Could be one of the reasons he's still around.

Wow, How sad. I thought I remember hearing not to long ago that he was doing well. I was pretty shocked to hear the news of his passing.

Yeah, it really hasn't turned out at all like most of us thought it would. Still, that was an awesome day to be an Angels fan, and one I won't forget.

What a load of bull... seriously, there is no reason to keep Ibanez on the roster over Green or Cron at this point. He hasn't done much of anything at all this year to justify a spot on the roster, and I dont see that changing. He done. This shouldn't be a hard decision to make. I don't care if the other guys have options they need players that can produce.

I agree, there is a different feel to this years team than in recent years. Obviously none of us know how things will play out, but I definitely feel like they have a shot to make the playoffs this year either as a wild card or division winner. Starting pitching has been solid, The offense has been fine and has a chance to be better with Freese, Calhoun and Hamilton coming back and even the bullpen is looking better lately. I am enjoying Angels baseball right now and hope they can keep it going.
