The Angels should play nothing but songs about trash cans when the Astros visit the Big A.

Let’s dispense with this fantasy that the Astros didn’t know what pitch was coming on the road. The Astros knew exactly what was coming on the road.

The problem with wireless earpieces is the catcher’s talking to the pitcher will be heard by the batter. They are just too close for the batter to not hear.
I think replacing the major league rubber on the mound with one that has lights embedded in it is a possibility but there are other complications with that. I prefer the digital devices on the wrist the pitcher and catcher that the catcher can send messages to the pitcher on. That seems like a better silent solution.

Isn’t that what they are using the replay room for, to decode those signs so that runners on second can relay it to the hitter? I thought that those complicated signs and changing signs was what was slowing the game down too? I read that The Nationals had a series of complicated signs they used in the WS versus Houston. Those signs may work but they can slow the game down. I guess I’m just confused by your suggesting with the state of the investigation already?

At this point all that is left is a video of a little boy walking up to Altuve saying, “Say it ain’t so Jose, say it ain’t so.”

A lot of teams were doing it so it is hard to determine how tainted it is. But this particular problem began when replay started. It is directly related to the increase in availability of real-time video footage to the team on the field. It has a likely start date of 2014.  No need to hand wave this as having gone on forever.

I’ve been pretty confident the Angels weren’t illegally stealing signs, but here’s a thing if anyone’s interested:

I don't watch or listen to a second of hot take artists on espn/fox/mlb etc because it is garbage (and I have a job)
But Russo is ripping on the Astros players here:  "Let me hear what verlander has to say now              {crickets}"
    Good stuff

Surreptitiously setting a WiFi enable camera in center field. Wouldn’t be that hard to do on the road. I don’t think they only cheated at home. If it was working do you think they just said, “well these half of the games we just give up. Oh and the single most important game of the year we just will leave to chance.” Doubt that.

Luhnow is one of those people who can never admit they were wrong. It wouldn't surprise me if he has narcissistic personality disorder.
