  1. Even if I wasn't comfortable with Bieber being healthy; I'd make that trade. Adell has had multiple opportunities and hasn't proven shit at the MLB level. It would probably cost more than Jo Adell, though.
  2. The only right answer to this question was to trade him. It was very clear we didn't have the pieces or the talent to make a run, no matter if we tried or not. The Padres dd the right thing by trading Soto. We should've traded him. Too late, time to move on.
  3. I just want to know what the hell happened to Rendon’s power. I know he was never a big HR guy but where are the XBH? Is it all injury related?
  4. Well I should have said Arte. We was a reference tO the Angels, more specifically the asshole in charge.
  5. I know you're being sarcastic but not all these dudes are making $40-60 million a year in endorsement and marketing deals. Yamamoto, if he lives up to the hype, could probably make a pretty chunk every year in endorsement deals. No one is exactly lining up to put Blake Snell all over everything lol.

  7. Which is why he left for a winning team lol. He has always been very clear that winning was his #1 priority. This isn't the NBA or NFL where 1/2 players can make your team a championship level team. I personally believe if the NL had the DH when he signed with us, he would've signed with the Dodgers. Whatever, its a moot point. He gave us 6 years and we've failed to make the playoffs every single time because we can't construct a playoff caliber roster, develop a farm, and can't get lucky breaks with injuries. Hell, we've made the playoffs once with Trout. Staying in Anaheim would've been silly for Ohtani. We were all banking on him being comfortable here and hoping that would sway him towards us.
  8. I'll be absolutely shocked if Yamamoto isn't a Dodger by the end of the week. Shohei was open to deferring a large chunk of money for these reasons.
  9. Ok but what exactly have the Dodgers won? They get meme'd to death for being a fucking fraud in the playoffs and a good majority of people don't respect their short season ring. Its not like Shohei is joining some perennial championship winning team to piggyback for rings lol.
  10. Its easy to defer $680 million when you're pulling in $40-$60 million/year in endorsement money. The Dodgers have a Grade A front office. A lot of people here upset by this would be calling Arte a genius if Shohei and him agreed to this with the Angels. If the CBA says nothing about capping deferments, then honestly, why the hell not? I've always felt baseball needed a salary cap and floor but at this point; it almost feels like thats virtually impossible now.
  11. At the time of him signing, wasn't it rumored that the Angels' were one of the only organizations that would accommodate Ohtani and his workload, 6 man rotation, etc. ?
  12. They don't owe the fans or players, anything. The players get a paycheck. If they dont like it in the organization they can play out their contract or ask for a trade. They don't owe the fans anything, either. And $700 million may be an absurd amount for one player to make; but if he's going to make it back and more for the organization, then its a good deal both ways.
  13. Ohtani didn't owe us any sort of loyalty. He has made it known that winning is his #1 priority. There is no need to drag Trout's name through the mud for wanting to be with the Angels for the majority of, if not all, of his career. Trout let it be known that he thought spending an entire career with one team is something special, like Jeter did. Ohtani gave us 6 LOYAL years where he put it his body on the line and gave us a great chance to win. He fulfilled his loyalty to the organization and the fan base. He never requested a trade, never acted disgruntled, never disrespected the organization. Ohtani was loyal to the Angels. He earned the right to elect free agency and control the remainder of his career. Thank you for your loyalty, Ohtani.
  14. The only way you trade for Burnes is if he agrees to an extension. You don’t trade for a one year rental when you’re a team in our position.
  15. Ok when do we expect a couple Angel signings now that Arte has been shunned and humiliated?
  16. The internet is running wild with speculation now that Ohtani’s camp is the one that leaked him en route to Toronto yesterday to Morosi to get the Dodgers to up their final offer. The billionaire on the jet is also represented by CAA. If this is true at all, just goes to show money talks and is ultimately the end game for these athletes. also is it true over 50% of the contract will be deferred?
  17. The dinner th Lmao Bundy going down in baseball history with this picture
  18. It’s really not that hard of a story to believe. I mean even if you’re lying, I’m sure we had offers on the table two years ago with similar value. Arte / Perry are fucking idiots for not trading him.
  19. SF and Anaheim are the only two organizations that haven't really had any leaks from front office or media, right?
