    If you're a grown ass man with a family, successful baseball career, and millions in the bank and being called a bitch offends you, you've got to do some soul searching and wonder why that offended you. I think the obvious answer is rough night at the plate, not living up to the contract you signed, and horrible offensive performance as a whole from the team. Unfortunate actions by Rendon, hopefully the MLB doesn't suspend him too long.

    I love what Cohen is doing and I hope it works out for them. He’s playing within the rules allowed. The MLB is going to have an issue in their hands if this continues because small market teams are going to be faded out even more. The Mets are going to throw an absurd amount of money at Ohtani next offseason if he hits the market. MLB created this system and Cohen is having a field day. Arte, can you sell to an owner like that please?

    Obviously the Mets are going to make a huge run at Ohtani if he hits the Market next year. Most teams will; does having Eppler give them any sort of advantage? Hopefully the new potential owners are all pushing Arte to sign him long term damn it.

    Yeah Tyler Anderson has to be having second thoughts about his deal lol. He probably could have locked down another couple years and a lot more money. Props to Perry for getting that one done quick. The longer the Giants and Cubs (presumed favorites) go without signing Correa and Swanson, the more I think we may be in play for one of them.

    I have no issues with the Mets spending or giving out these contracts. Every year its the same talking points "these contracts are ridiculous, I can't believe player X got such and such years for XXX millions. This is MLB free agency and its not going to change. Good for the Mets' fans for having some real belief that their team is doing everything they can to put a championship caliber product on the field.

    I hope you’re right, and I do believe it. However, unless we lock Ohtani up before next off season, it won’t stop the Dodgers from making a big run. My hope is that all parties interested in buying have had talks with Arte and Perry and are ok with them spending to improve this team. We have to make a big jump next year.

    Maybe they planned on moving one to 1B, and shopping Walsh around? Or maybe shopping O’Hoppe for pitching / SS ? Idk. Didn’t expect theM to be in on the C this off-season. starting to think we are making an actual run for Swanson. Makes too much sense. We need SS and Perry does have ties to him.
