    Cali is not paying attention to the discussion as it progressed. The statement is that there is no reliable camera in place now that gives any clear and decisive image to call balls and strike. That is clearly true.

    Werth had just missed a home run hitting the ball 400 feet to the deepest part of the park then his next at bat hit the ball the same distance but this time to left field. Nats up 4-2 and Harper is 2-3 (.393 avg) with a strikeout.

    No traffic problems coming from San Dimas and I would have left before 4pm so no traffic at all to wade through. Colds suck.

    You still have to get the players union and the commissioner on the same page for this. It is not an issue of technology but it also not moving the game forward in terms of fan entertainment.

    I am camped out on the couch with a blanket watching the Nats vs White Sox instead of drinking beer at the OC and getting ready to walk over to the stadium.

    Laagamer is a poor representation of umpires if he is hopping on his white horse to champion this crappy call. Sounds to me like he is a lower level guy that will never rise to the minor league level because he takes this too much to heart instead of being the neutral official he is supposed to be.

    Ok, you are taking this the wrong way just to prove your weak ass point, There is currently no reliable camera angle for home plate balls and strikes mounted in any stadium because of the eye line rules. Center field is off limits for anything other than the neutral background and would require MLB in conjunction with the players union to place any camera in direct line of sight of the batter.

    Bob doesn't get that the Angels now control all of the season ticket holders seats and as such those that have already paid for their seats are re-selling them through ticketmaster. So the game has probably sold out in terms of those seats that were available for general admission and all that is left is re-sale.

    White Elephant is a correct assessment. The A's were a last place team 1915-1921. The didn't get above .500 until 1925. The A's as a franchise were consecutive years in last place 6 times and of those some were for several years at a stretch. The Angels have only experienced that once in the 1974-1975 season.

    The flag ceremony last year was awesome.

    Their biggest weakness was the bullpen and replacing Hunter's production. Grienke can only help the Angels once every five games. To rate him above Hamilton is a little ridiculous.
