  1. Scioscia has an opt out in 2015. It looks as though the years are starting to wear on him, unless the Angels are winning consistently he may just bail.
  2. I'm not telling you what to post AO. I am asking questions when you make a blunt statement and you run away because you don't have an answer. Don't play the persecution card when you can't back up your heat of the moment rants. If you want to talk baseball then talk but spamming every thread with Scioscia is a dinosaur or Maddon was the brains of the Angels is not conversing, it is trolling, it is schtick and it is far from intelligent dialogue.
  3. Plenty of good seats availble in section 113 for tonight's game. None available for 112,111,110.
  4. AO was ranting about Scioscia's pick for the 8th inning pitcher. That is why I asked him just who he thought should come out, three times and got zero response. The reason is just the same as you changing the topic to suit your rant, can't follow what is going on and have to complain about what is past history. As for not having a lefty up for Jaso, how many bullpen arms do you waste in the 7th for a right/left matchup with 2 outs? What motivates you to pull your best power arm after he just missed striking out his first batter? When is it you quit micromanaging each inning after the fact but feel fine to complain about Scioscia micromanaging during the inning?
  5. What in the hell does the CoA have to do with this?
  6. Come on we are talking Opening day. Just toss them the spare keys and tell them to take a nap in the back seat.
  7. IEBRUIN said he was in section 113. Coincidence? I think not.
  8. The usher obviously needs to be fired. Not reprimanded or moved to another area of the park but fired and not allowed back in the stadium as even a paying patron. There is no excuse for his behavior and the Angels need to reimburse Sarah for the ticket expenses and offer her something in terms of restitution for what is obscenely rude customer service on opening day.
  9. The amount of runners he left stranded tonight is about two wins all in itself.
  10. Arte chose the song. Good luck on that letter.
  11. Nothing worse than getting a cold hot dog, as if they cook them the day before and refrigerate them. Many of the other stadiums I went to had the grills out in the open so you saw you were getting a hot dog or brat freshly cooked or at least it was warmed up before going into a bun. It is an overhaul the stadium could do and rid us of kiosks that get their food service elevatored up to them from a main kitchen. It is one of the reasons I will grab stuff from the outdoor grills at the entrance of the park.
  12. It seems like none of these smart phone reviews ever have anything to say about the actual phone function. How good is the sound clarity both send and receive? Is the speaker for the speaker phone function loud enough and clear enough to be heard? How easy is it to simply make a call and when you have it pressed to your face does it think you want to activate a dozen different functions you can't see going on or are you better off finding a pay phone?
  13. How about Hamilton batting 2nd, at least Trout could possibly steal a base while Josh strikes out. It's not like Trumbo is coming to bat with Hamilton on base, he could move up to 4th.
  14. A day to day bruise. They decided not to amputate.
  15. As long as Hamilton isn't hitting it is making little difference who is in front of Pujols.
  16. I hope I am as well because the disaster scenario is probably one or two injuries away. With Weaver out and Aybar limping we have just been forced to play the league with one arm tied behind our backs.
  17. Bourjos .353 Aybar .321 Trumbo .300 Kendrick .296 Callaspo .296 Trout .281
  18. Scioscia's teams are historicly defensively one of the top rated in both leagues. Their situational hitting has until recently been the best in the league and last year they were one of the top offenses so if anything you are taking an anomaly and creating your own reality out of it. After last years crap start the last thing the fanbase needs is another crap start but there are areas where the Angels are maintaining stability and that is in fieding and for the most part (Pujols as the outlier) base running. The starting pitching has not been a disaster even if tonight started that way and the relief corps was doing a reasonable job until tonights debacle. A little early game offense is a cure to a lot of ills and Hamilton has been a lot of the Angels ills at the plate. Pujols seems to be warning up quickly but pitchers now are bypassing him to get to Josh to end innings. When that cycle is broken I think the Angels take off and all the talk about fundementals goes away.
  19. The worst part of tonights game was it took so long to come to it's suck ass ending.
  20. Our baserunning is fine ouside of Albert. Our defense was far better than the A's. Our hitting with RISP sucked huge but you can't blame that on the backside of the order. I'm not making excuses for this turd of a game but it is on a couple of players shoulders and not the team as a whole in terms of execution. Earlier today I saw Choo drop two routine fly balls. Are the Nationals fundamentaly unsound? No but Choo sucked balls out there today.
  21. We are going to have to downgrade them to bronze if this keeps up.
  22. Pujols is a complete idiot on the basepaths. Hard to justify pinch running for him in the 3rd inning.
