THIS FROM MY YAHOO FANTASY SITE:
Angels optioned RHP Blake Parker to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Advice: Well, this is strange. Parker gave up a run in his last appearance, but he's been one of the best relievers in baseball this season with a 2.17 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 52/9 K/BB ratio over 37 1/3 innings. He's tied for the American League lead with his 41 appearances, so perhaps the Halos are just using the demotion as a way to get Parker some extra rest over the All-Star break. It's still not fair to him, though.
Angels optioned RHP Parker Bridwell to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Advice: Bridwell worked six shutout innings in a win over the Twins on Wednesday, but he wasn't going to be available until the after the All-Star break so the Angels will free up his 25-man roster spot. The 25-year-old right-hander should be back in about 10 days.
