  1. After Angels 3 game mini streak. And she brings you only sorrowAll the time you know she's smilin'You'll be on your knees tomorrow
  2. The dugout really lacks fire as far I can see. I think we could use a team leader. You would think Trout but its not part of his makeup. Rendon would be an ideal candidate if he played regularly. Cant really think of any player. Or is this role overvalued? Just thinking out loud.
  3. Is the sweeper less likely to cause arm injury v changeup or slider? If not case closed. But if so could this explain Ohtani's insistence on using it too frequently. Saving arm for the superlotto contract. Couldn't blame him if was so with Angels dismal outlook. I know this is a stretch but what else could it be?
  4. Thanks for this article but my question has more to with the financial repercussions to the individual team. Have any owners every nixed a WBC invite? With these mega contracts you couldn't blame them. Are the player contracts still guaranteed if a major injury occurs? Dont get me wrong I'd hate to see this happen but it it quite possible.
  5. Who takes the hit if a WBC player is injured in the course of playing/practicing for their team? It seems like a great risk for teams who allow this. Maybe some type of league insurance?
  6. Joe Rudi. I had just moved here from NY and adopted THE CA ANGELS as my hometown team. What a disappointment. Became a DL fixture.
  7. Just wondering who takes the financial hit when a MLB player get seriously hurt? Future salary/medical expenses?
  8. Will potential owners have to pass some MLB woke test? Hopfully this wont be a snag for the process.
  9. Topic Police declare out of bounds and off the rails.
  10. Yeah, don't you just love paying $10+ for a movie ticket, then watch 15minutes of commercials.
  11. Dont't know if this idea has been has been brought up before but could this be some sort of depth perception/ visual problem? Maybe just so slight that most of the time he can follow the flight of the ball successfully. However under certain circumstances like light, shadows and angles could come into play. Maybe a series of eye exams would turn up something. Grasping at straws here. It just seems unbelievable that an MLB outfielder who has gotten to this level could have these difficulties.
  12. Remember him? This decision could define Minasian's career.
  13. Lets get back to some rational thinking.
  14. Its a silly way to determine a homerun. Half the time they have to use instant replay when the ball impacts close to the line because the umpires cant. Just clearing the fence or wall makes for a better moment versus a thud and bounce back and then wait 30 seconds for a decision. Homerun interruptus. Just trying to engage a bit during this wait.
  15. Anyone know the net effect of the right field homerun line. Is it paying off for the Angels? Johndw52
  16. Cuban citizens good. Hong Kong citizens who the f*** cares! NBA $$$$ = STFU. JOHNDW52
  17. Maybe, but with nothing else to lose he might use the "sex addict" strategy. It worked for Hamilton. As a recovering alcholic this is a bs ploy to excuse bad behavior and protect the paycheck. Johndw52

  21. Just thought I would start a thread on some postive feelings we've had about some of our players and associates throughout Angel history. 1. Of course THE COWBOY wanted to win badly. 2. Tim Salmon (A given) 3. Lymon Bostock not because of his tragic death but of his gesture to give up his salary because of his horrid start.
  22. Who is the biggest letdown of a pitcher whom you thought ( personally) was a sure bet to be great, then failed badly? Now what about the opposite. Very mediocre at best but turned out to be really good. Johndw52
