  1. To do that, you’d start with Hader…
  2. I would leave DH open for Rendon and Trout....
  3. If I was reasonably comfortable that Bieber was healthy, I’d make that trade…
  4. I think the hope is that Perry has been able to convince him that a more measured approach, like last year, is a better way to go. We’ll see…
  5. Add a 4th….He tends to react quickly and poorly when we lose out on signing a big name…Wells trade after losing out on Beltre, Rendon after missing on Cole…
  6. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Minasian sign a DH….Trout part time maybe…
  7. I don’t think any of the 4 players will help much anywhere next year but it’s more probable that Stassi or Fletcher might than White or Thomas, particularly Stassi as a back up catcher….But, it’s a money shuffle thing and perhaps means the Angels wanted to clear their back up catching slot for Thaiss, which could be how things got started…
  8. That might make more sense than dealing Stassi. d’Arnaud actually has some value…
  9. I guess that’s possible. But Fletcher has been bad since 2020 and Stassi is an inactive year removed from hitting .180. Can’t imagine either has much value to the Braves or anybody else. What we got back was worse….shuffling money, I guess…
  10. I don’t see the upside for the Braves….….but AA is a smart cookie….
  11. I don’t see the rationale behind it for the Braves….but AA is a pretty sharp guy…
  12. Iglesias was still pretty productive last year…Not sure he fits with the other two…
  13. Bellinger is exactly the type of FA we don't need to sign....overpaying a guy coming off of a monster year...but he fits the Arte profile....we need pitching much more than a OF'er....
  14. Getting a compensatory draft pick two rounds higher is not insignificant.
  15. Probably BS but it wouldn’t be a shock either…which could means somebody is just guessing and plugged in a plausible scenario…any of us could do the same thing…
  16. This quickly, you wonder if it very well could be the Angels….
  17. So you wouldn’t trade for the Dodgers best prospects and shed 200 million in salary for a guy in his 30’s?….Interesting.
  18. If you ever wanted proof of how the internet has dumbed the world down, there it is. Ohtani, sure, they’ll be in the mix. Trout? Yep, they’ll give up top prospects for a guy owed $200 who hasn’t been healthy in years.
  19. I’m confused….who pays the 5 million per year? Angels or Phillies? If it’s the Phillies, and the Angels pay the rest, that ain’t happening….
