I wouldn't be surprised if one of the questions on the questionnaire asked how would the applicant manage Pujols in the line-up or maybe it was discussed during the interview process. As I mentioned in another thread, I think Eppler sits down with Pujols and has a heart to heart discussion with during the off season. He'll probably tactfully tell him that to keep him fresh and healthy during the entire season, they'll limit his playing time. This way, Pujols knows exactly how he'll be used and it will make Ausmus' job easier.

I'm seeing a lot of posts asking why fans of the Angels don't like the Dodgers, but I haven't seen anyone asking why Dodger fans hate the Angels. People, the hate goes both ways. I have family and friends that are Dodger fans and all of them strongly dislike the Angels. Why is that? They're not in the same division or league. Are Dodger fans that insecure and petty? It seems that now that the Dodgers are in the post season, we see this crap posted about the lack of support from Angels fans. The answer is that we simply don't like each other, so get over it.

I think it all depends on how healthy he stays. If he starts to have hammy and/or knee issues, they will make a switch sooner than later. Eventually, he'll end up either at 1st or being a DH.

The thing is, you only see the obnoxious chowd fans when they play the Angels a few times a year. On the other hand, the Doggie fans are all around us all the time. Really easy choice for me.

I was about to post that very same thing. Using the same logic, we should've traded Trout since we wouldn't be competing during his contract.

I would love for them to build a stadium there. Centrally located between Orange County, the IE and LA County. Lots of land surrounding the stadium for Arte to develop as well.

I gave him a 9 for same reasons that are listed above. Heck, turning the farm system around with excellent drafts and trades warrants a 9 alone. You include the Ohtani signing and the Simmons trade almost gets him a 10. The signing of Valsucko and the lack of better position players is the reason for a 9.
