Wake up guys. It looks like they're actually starting to get serious about getting this thing started again.

Just rumors I'm hearing, but it sounds like one option is going with a 24 team tournament.  This would actually help the games finished imbalance, since in a normal season, the top 3 + 2 wild cards or 16 teams make the playoffs.  Not sure how the format is.  
Also they are talking of a neutral city for the playoffs.  But I wonder if they are considering putting the games in So Cal.  Think about it.  You have two NHL arenas.  So for how ever many games, you would be able to juggle between the two.  You won't have crowds regardless of where it is.  You also need to house 24 teams in quarantine conditions.  So Cal has the hotels to do this.  So Cal is not getting hit in the ER, so plenty of room there if needed.  You have the idle restaurants that can feed the teams in quarantine conditions.  So Cal also has the practice facilities in the Great Rinks, you could use the Reign's stadium, the Gulls Stadium, Disney Ice, the Kings practice facilities.  Plus if the Rona is hampered by sunny weather, well, you got that also.  It'll also be easier to televise from So Cal than from North Dakota or wherever they are thinking. 
On top of that, the Kings and the Ducks suck, so no home field advantage.

I wish they would just call the season complete and get on with a plan for the playoffs. Does anyone even care to see the regular season start back up? The fans who are still into regular season games are the ones whose teams are in playoff contention. Just get on with it (The plan. I know it's probably too early to put together games yet.).

The real BS is that a player fails to drag his toe at the Blue line, ten seconds later a goal is scored that is in no way influenced by the offside and the goal is called off on appeal. Yet something as important as the hand pass is not reviewable.

It hurts to get #9 in a wasted season. But Colorado and LA, in a draft considered to drop off noticeably after the first 3 picks, got a gut kick.

It doesn't look probable if you look at the schedule and standings closely. But I think you can probably kiss 5th goodbye and 6th isn't looking too great either.
Also, if you don't get one of the three lotteries, the probability is you'll fall back another draft slot.
After the Cogliano fiasco and what has happened with penalties the last few years, it should be obvious that a number of people in the NHL don't play by the rules. Look at the Kings and the Rangers. I really doubt they've been trying meaningfully to win. They have too much talent and knowledge to have preformed so poorly.
We should have tanked and got our draft pick.

As a Ducks fan, this is just so depressing to watch.
Like I've said, if we finish with a 10+ draft pick, they should fire Murray. This is not Lala land. You have to take the draft pick you deserve. When's the last time the Ducks got a top 5 pick. Get your f'ing pick Murray.

I don't see us being a serious cup contender the next 2-3 years. If they could get some high quality draft picks, I would let him go.
