They have to claim they did something to improve their pitching!

Thank you Jered for all the memories!! You had a great heart and competitive spirit and will definitely be remembered among the Angels elite pitchers. Thanks also for your touching tribute to Nick Adenhart before you pitched each night.

Trout aside, the only people that care about anything Angels related are the Angel fans. The media and the rest of the country have no interest in this team
Which is the same thing that can be said about 75% of the MLB teams out there.

Great memories....definitely going to miss him and hope he does well in Atlanta. Thanks Erick for what you meant to this team all these years.

Frenzy hitting and Mets errors

I want to see Pete Rose in the HOF but not necessarily on my TV screen as an analyst. Disaster always waiting to happen. He can't seem to lighten up at ALL.

The thing is there are rules in place when there is a "possible" concussion. Donaidson may not have had a choice whether to come out or not.

Go Yankees! As hard as that is to say, don't want Houston to advance. Don't understand the rooting for your rivals thing or the wanting the team that beat you to advance because it makes your team look better thing either.

The last thing we need is someone out of position and MORE errors.

Bitter, no. Was more bitter last year with ultimate bitterness for '95. Was more disappointed because the team was able to come back after the horrible August and ultimately were only 2 games short and that it was due mostly to errors and overuse of the bullpen. Ultimately I appreciate the effort and the excitement of the last couple of weeks when they could have folded. Feel sadness today mostly.

At least he WANTS to play through injuries (even if it isn't always a good idea) unlike someone else currently in the other dugout.

Thank you Iannetta, since it is less embarrassing to be no-hit than shut out with 1 hit (I guess). Our winning streak stops at one.

Things can change in an instant. Or not. At least you can say we are not peaking too early.

Gonna lose some....it happens, although winning today is HUGE.

It's really a no-brainer for a 3-month job. If it was a regular business it would be the same....someone resigns, let someone already in the orgranization with experience temporarily take it over He helps groom the permanent replacement who starts fresh with the new season. Solves the current crisis and downplays the effect of what really went down (that we think we know but really don't) and disrupts the season as little as possible.

The bartenders are pretty awesome for the most part.

Wonder how Rex and Phys are feeling about now?

Saying you would rather lose in round 1 than game 7 of the WS. How many players are even able to say they PLAYED in game 7 of a WS. Yes, it is heartbreaking to lose but to put yourself out there and for your team to be in that position is what every player wants. KC has nothing to hang their head about. They breezed through the first two rounds and forced a game 7. Not even their fans expected that. The team exceeded all expectations and their players got valuable experience they can use in the future. And they won the frickin pennant.

Sometimes you just run into a buzzsaw.....oh wait...

For anyone who needs to speak to someone, I got through on the Live Chat (bottom of the Customer Service page of the OC Register website). Not that it did that much good. Started getting the paper on Day 7 and then Day 8 but they missed the Sunday paper and I got it this morning. I was at least able to stop automatic payments so I can get (and dispute) any bills I may get.

I was just going to say the exact same thing!
