  1. I've been an assistant coach on little league teams for 7 years now, and went to my youngest's practice after practice with my oldest this morning. I started warming him up since we were there first, and when the manager of his team got there, I was told adults can't throw to kids anymore. The manager proceeded to tell every dad that got there and started throwing with their kid, that it wasn't allowed, and can result in team penalties. No pop ups, no warm ups, not even a soft tossed rainbow. We can only roll them. Yes, we can hit batted balls to them, but no throws. I couldn't believe it, and hit up the manager I coach with on my older boy's team, and he confirmed that it is true. Wow. Unreal.
  2. 5'9" and 140lbs in Miami Dade County? No problem, he will be juuuuuuuuuust fine
  3. Yeah that was pretty sweet. It was also cool to see his HR derby in the celeb softball game during the all star break. He finally did it!
  4. Major congrats to everyone behind the scenes. 10 years and it's grown into something awesome! Way beyond just a web forum! Great writing, reporting and events!
  5. The wasabi ones sound good. But the wrestling ones are just strange while the other flavors I found like tuna mayonnaise and crispy salmon flavor, sound downright disgusting. Imagine those smells mixed with Axe. Youk on a whole new level.
  6. I did see a "Steak Flavor," a flavor called "The Mexican Salt," and another unnamed flavor that was a photo of peppercorn salami and a glass of beer.... But what is this? Caption this flavor!
  7. So bummed I can't find that old photoshop of Shrek and Donkey with Colon and Figgins faces morphed in. That was awesome. Sorry, slightly off topic.
  8. Just say no to Mr. Catbuttmouth
  9. Goodbye Mark! Thanks for the bombs! Going to be a couple sad little boys at my house tonight, who chose #44 for their little league jerseys last year, but good time to teach them a lesson in business and the need of starting pitching with illustrations of last season. Hate to see a homegrown player leave, especially with his charisma and power, but fully understand the trade and see it as a positive for all involved. Go rake against the Doyers Mark!
  10. Why not? If we are going to lose anyway, this may be the best place to stash him! (sarcasm)
  11. Relax, it wasn't Bourjos. St. Louis Cardinals ‏@Cardinals1m #STLCards acquire OFs Peter Bourgos and Randal Grichuk from the @Angels in exchange for 3B David Freese and P Fernando Salas. Reply Retweet Favorite More Expand
  12. You're right we may have talked about it before. I had that 8x10 but switched cabs since I want the lows of the 15. I tried a wireless, I think sennheiser, but hated it. Pulled the highs and lows out of my sound....felt way to midrange compressed. I posted the rig without the basses on craigslist a while back, and the offers were a joke, but in a way I'm glad I didn't sell it. My second bass was a fender jazz bass, I dug that, but fell in love with the Warwick thumb 4. That's my go to bass. The other two were just for a couple songs. I almost used them as effects really. Kind of a waste. Same here on the cost, we had a hookup there and rigged the whole band for like 5% over cost I think. I have a another spinal fusion coming up on October 30th, but I have a buddy who is a drummer and we may start something up after I'm back on my feet. I've done a couple recording sessions for a buddy over the past three years, but other than that, haven't jammed for nearly 5 years. I miss it.
  13. I hear that, my rig is sitting in my garage so no storage payments, but taking up half of my space. What kind of rig you have? I have an Ampeg PR15H, Ampeg PR410H, and a rolling rack with Ampeg SVT4PRO, EQ, Tuner, plus my Warwick Thumb 4, Warwick fretted neck through 5, and a Yamaha Fretless 4 string plus pedal board. Out of most people's price range.
  14. The drummer was just sick. Solid work. My bass rig is in mothballs right now, I'd love to sell it, but I know I'd lose my butt. Guess I'll hold onto it for my boys.
  15. With the way Kinsler looks like a cat burying a turd in the batters box, the poor greens keepers are going to be busy raking and shoveling the sand traps in Texass
  16. No way! Blanton straight up is only fair.

  18. USA! USA! USA! Absolutely throttled NZ today. Complete beatdown.
  19. I wish it could have ended the way the original producer had envisioned. He gave away his plan in an interview. I'll try to find the link. Man, I loved that show, but this season and that finale really let me down, far too predictable. Though I didn't see Dexter turning into a lumberjack coming. Not enough for me to swear off ever liking the show or anything, and it's still one of my favorites of all time. But, the writers sure made it easy for me to move on.
