  1. 2.11 to 7.59 era with the Angels. 1.23 to 1.78 whip with the Angels. Yeah, that's "asinine". We'll see within a week, going to back to Atlanta or another contender.
  2. So I’m listening to yesterday’s game and it occurs to me that jc was pitching to get released. He brought over decent numbers and then he gets here and he sucks balls again. Could it have been his intention to go back to Atlanta?
  3. A personal theory of mine has been that this is a collection of players that could not handle the pressure of winning with Trout and Ohtani on the team. The pressure of getting them into the playoffs seemed too much. Now that the possibility of playing in the post-season is behind them, they'll play more relaxed. Hoping it continues into the next series.
  4. This organization is suddenly going to be making meaningful moves? I'm certain they're in an office and just relying on a game of rocks, paper, scissors at this point.
  5. Any of you fellow Angels fans having a really good year? Maybe pitch in a little extra.
  6. Aww... I forgot about the McCourts. Damn, things could get worse for our beloved Angels.
  7. I know there's been a lot of free financial advice on this board to Mr. Moreno on how he should sell the team. This is a dicey situation, it can be a "be careful what you wish for" scenario. I also follow the English Premiere League (Tottenham) and what's happened to the Manchester United team since the Glazers bought the team scares me. While Mr. Moreno may have a shitty baseball organization in place, he isn't afraid to write a significant check for a big name. I for one don't have the time or energy to protest with y'all at the stadium in the event a cheap owner buys the team.
  8. How th fuck did Maddon make this shit-show of a roster worse? The lineup could barely hit major league pitching (leading the fucking league in strikeouts) how did Maddon make them worse? If anything, it’s on perry for getting this group of players together. A group that clearly cannot handle the pressure of winning with arguably the two top players in baseball (at the time). The prove this point every time Ohtani takes the mound… just too much pressure for them. What a cop out to blame a World Series winning manager. Name the manager, this group of hitters perry has assembled is going to continue to suck donkey balls… and why does the hitting coach get a free pass?
  9. Anyone listening to the game? It seems, to me at least, that Terry Smith is trying to jinx what is currently going on with our pitcher.
  10. Coaching at the major league level shouldn't even be a point of discussion among the fanbase during the season. If it is, it's because your team is sucking donkey-balls. I'm pretty certain the fanbase for both New York teams or the Houston team aren't bringing up the coaching. My personal concern, this entire season, has been this team's ability to comfortably lead the major leagues in batting strikeouts. Comfortably. Can't really get on base or move a run over with a strikeout. How is this not addressed during the season??? This organization fires it's manager during the season, trades one of it's most promising (at one point) young players, yet the hitting coach is safe?
  11. I realize I got a little off topic. Back to the point here; I’m going to say it’s the overall treatment of its stars. Most recently, the handling of Pujols was nothing short of pathetic. How do you just release a guy like Albert Pujols? How have things gone for this organization since then? Where have we gotten a ‘break’?
  12. What is it about a FAT contract from the Angels? Really what is it. The substantially more successful team in Los Angeles gives out Fat contracts and it doesn’t seem to doom the player to loss of productivity or to significantly increase the likelihood of injury. What the hell is it about a FAT contract from the Angels??
  13. Must have hurt like a mother… I was once trying to select some watermelon sized river rocks for my garden when one rolled over and smashed my finger. Obviously all the nerve endings in the finger tips. Hope it’s a quick recovery, I like the kid.
  14. Should go back to being the California Angels with the classic “CA” logo
  15. When you talk as much as Losge does, you’re bound to say something that makes sense every now and then.
  16. Early odds on what next year's ailment will be? He makes so much freaking money... he can't play a little hurt????
  17. The guy is going to make $37 million US dollars this year, regardless if he 'tries' to play or is rested for the remainder of the season. He was on a special/legendary course before... he got paid.
  18. While this team has shown improvement the past few weeks, the inability to hit the baseball with the bat this whole season has been a mystery that Mr Ripley would have a hard time believing. One of the worst culprits is now on another team and we have an exciting catching prospect… how often do those come around. All in all, it was perry being told to get rid of some salary.
  19. It's been a long time since there's been a good catching-prospect in the farm system. Marsh will likely flourish with more competent coaching on the Phillies. Marsh's defense was solid, but that strikeout rate was nuts.
  20. When was the last time this team had a decent catching prospect, wasn't it Conger? Catching prospects are just so rare. As previously, mentioned, a good outfield that strikeouts 35% of the time are a dime a dozen.
