  1. Losing the 2023 version of Mike Trout may not be that big a deal. We lose little by having a little more MM in center. Heck, bring up Adell. As someone previously mentioned, we’re doing pretty good in the outfield position. For anyone not watching the games, Trout was striking out way too much.
  2. Fletcher! Love the lineup. Fletch is a big-leaguer and has no business being in the minors.
  3. I think it was during the recent KC series that Terry Smith mentioned a KC player coming back from the same left-oblique injury and he missed a total of 51 games. Listening to the game on my way home.
  4. That’s exactly what this team needs… a fiery- intense cat like Tony Phillips. This team with that intensity added to the clubhouse! Perry?
  5. Absolutely. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Rendon is a main contributor come September and - knock on wood- October.
  6. Picking up a starting pitcher in a trade, while hanging on to Moniak, would be a huge lift. Yeah the bullpen had a meltdown yesterday so an addition would also help the cause. I think Trout just being Trout would help this team get through the dog-days of summer. Team has some good depth so watching some meaningful games in September is looking like a possibility. As Angel fans we’ve more than paid our dues.
  7. Moniak is bringing the exact type of contribution that you trade for. They need to hang on to him. Back in Philadelphia, he likely played with the pressure of being the first overall pick in the ‘16 MLB Draft. Now with the Angels, Moniak is playing in the shadows of Trout and Ohtani. Much less pressure than what he likely experienced with his former team. This talent he’s displayed must be what the Phillies saw in him to select him.
  8. The toughness this kid showed when he got hit on the hand on a bunt attempt was a huge indicator of what he’s made of. He stayed in the game. I became a fan of our rookie shortstop that day. Kid has heart.
  9. I’ll never be able to wrap my head around how a World Series winning manager is fired mid season yet the team waits until another losing season is over, to part ways with their hitting coach. That and black holes, those are two things that I have a hard time understanding.
  10. Thank you God! A step in the right direction. This team had a difficult time putting the ball in play this past, nightmare of a season.
  11. While on this topic, how about a competent GM to sign this player?
  12. How about a player that can show our current lineup how to put a ball in play instead of striking the f___ out.
  13. This team easily led the major leagues in strikeouts, it's what did them in this season. This team was striking out on an epic pace at around the middle of the season. It makes too much sense to let Reed walk. 29 other teams would have let him go yesterday. These are the Angels. He stays.
  14. What are the odds of him getting injured a third of the way into the series at Oakland?
  15. Make it a package deal, bring in his former boss to run the team. Like anything is really going to make a difference anyway.
  16. Likely the most single embarrassing team in professional sports right now when you consider you have two of the top players in the game. What team would take that distinction from the Angels? In American pro sports. Blow this shit show up!
  17. Okay, the great Jesse Chavez simply lost his motivation, his will to pitch while with the Angels. I'm dropping this. Best of luck to Mr. Chavez.
  18. It could be the guys last season, he's 39! Do I blame him for wanting to go back to a team in contention, hell no. Time will tell, we'll see his numbers going forward this season in Atlanta. If he returns to his previous 2.11 ERA form then it gets interesting, doesn't it? If, however, he maintains his 7+ ERA he had since returning to Anaheim then I'll have myself a dish of grilled crow.
  19. Fuck you. I'm stating facts. I'm not attacking anyone on this board. Simply stating my own opinion. He sucked back upon switching jerseys and he goes back to his old team. And again, Fuck you!
  20. I called it on another thread... dude tanked. If he magically regains his form from before the trade, MLB should look into it, not cool... not cool at all.
  21. Damn... I figured it would happen in a couple of days to a week!!! He's going to magically return to form and that pre-trade 2.11 ERA
  22. Chavez was included in the trade for Iglesias and Tucker Davidson. As I mentioned, he brought over good numbers and then...
  23. Yeah... I'm at a loss, I haven't been able to watch him play this season, but his numbers since he switched jerseys just don't jibe. Maybe I'm wrong but I would place a small wager that the guy is picked up and he somehow returns to 'form'. It's not like our pitching staff has been our weak point this season.
