  1. I voted for Bob Melvin. Just think he would get the maximum out of the team; and what that is who knows? I do remember when he was manager of the Oakland A's. I also remember hating when we would get beat by a team with a third of our payroll. Bad times for sure..... ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  2. I'm kinda waiting for someone to say "I know you are but what am I"? Nothing brings back a lot of grade school memories like that little ditty. ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  3. Can't wait for Escobar to get lost. Mebbe someone will pick him up off waivers. We can always hope..... ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  4. Well it is now! Thanks to you, Captain Obvious, I can see clearly. Mission accomplished Thanks! ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  5. Thank you Captain Obvious for making the obvious to those who obviously need to have things made more obvious to them. ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  6. What you have said seems vaguely familiar; however, from what I know about Alex Johnson I would be much more inclined to put the blame on him than a guy who was known to be a good teammate and a positive club house guy like Chico Ruiz. I do recall that after he would hit a homerun, Alex Johnson HATED anyone shaking his hand. So one time after Johnson homered Ruiz waited until Alex had sat down and grabbed his hand and shook it when Alex wasn't looking. Johnson then proceeded to kick Ruiz for shaking his hand. Lovely dude..... ~ArkyRamsFan~
  7. Chico Ruiz? What did he do to make this list? I remember him for saying the classic line "bench me or trade me!" Must be something dark and evil that I am unaware of...... ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  8. Yeah, I agree. Mike likes - no loves - living in Newport Beach and doesn't want to be traded away from his $9 million dollar home. It's really that simple. Yeah, I know that he wants to win. I mean he's got to say that and all but the real question is, 'How much'? And that's the rub. Unfortunately, from what I've seen over the past several years he's not all that upset with the Angels losing ways ....at least no where near as upset as he would be if he was traded away and had to go somewhere else and leave his palatial estate in Newport. Nope, my fellow Angels' sufferers Mr. Trout ain't going anywhere anytime soon. He'll just continue with the Angels, get injured and rehab on the beach while he smokes some brisket and chicken wings on the BBQ. Surfs up!! ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  9. Do you really think that he is going to resign with the Angels? I'm of the opposite opinion, id prefer him to continue playing and, hopefully, get to 50 homers and another MVP award. That's about all we have left for this year, unfortunately. He can get his surgery in the off-season with his new team, whoever that is. ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  10. Sorry just don't see it all. Mike likes - no loves - living in Newport Beach and doesn't want to be traded away from his $9 million dollar home. It's really that simple. 11. This was my first time watching this. The Pythons were tremendously talented. Of that there can be NO argument!!! ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  12. What makes you think Nevin overused him? Seems to me he was pitching on a limited schedule compared to other relievers. ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  13. You bring up some good points. Mebbe there's some things we need to consider more closely. ~ArkyAngelsFan~
  14. My first several prospect disappointments were Bobby Clark and Billy Parker. Both tore up AAA in SLC and neither really did much in the Majors. Then somewhere I read about the thin air in Salt Lake and I learned to take offensive numbers with a rather large grain of salt. ~ArkyRamsFan~
  15. Nice try, Revad but I'll bet you know what I am referring to. Btw did you know that Frisco's paying people upwards of $100K per year to clean up the poop on the streets? Lotsa job security from what I hear..... ~ArkyAngelsFan~
