  1. That stat should have caused Scioscia to opt for a different pitcher. However, Scioscia may not have had anyone else available. From the moment Bedrosian has entered the majors, he has consistently demonstrated that he is not a high leverage relief pitcher. I fail to understand why the Angels continue trying to make him into something he is not.
  2. Hope all is well. Apparently no one is able to escape the 2018 Angel injury curse.
  3. Been quietly watching him and I think he is ready. Remind me again what position he plays.
  4. Bastards exercising their right to free speech. Shit like that never happened in NazI Germany. Totally un-American. Who do they think they are? Who gave them the right to protest?
  5. McCuthen McCutcheon F*ck the Yankees F*ck the Yankees F*ck the Yankees You're right! It is impossible.
  6. Sounds like a deal when you "forget" the keys when you park your car in a sketchy part of town.
  7. I wonder if it would make a difference if the better player was someone from the minors like Thiass? This is assuming that the player performs well.....and no, I am not arguing that Thaiss should be promoted to take away at bats from Albert. Thaiss should only be promoted when he is ready......I hope soon.
  8. I agree. I am not suggesting getting rid of Ward. He needs to face as many pitchers as possible. I do not expect him to hit every pitcher. He seems to do many things well at the plate that do not show up in the stats. Absolutely play him as much as possible to get as much offensive and defense experience as possible. I just am not convinced he is a better option in 2019 if Cozart is healthy.
  9. I agree. All I am saying is that his numbers suggest that he may need to make some adjustments. This is the best situation for Ward to be playing in because there are no playoff expectations. I have no issue with him playing, I prefer him over all of the other options. I just want him to do well when it counts, and currently, it looks like he has more work to do.
  10. Didn't Trout go back to SLC after his first limited experience 2011? All I am saying is that Ward is not hitting as well as I would have hoped and if there are adjustments that can be made to improve his performance, AAA would be the place to do it. Do you think Ward will get better offensively between now and the end of the season?
  11. He is routinely replaced for defensive reasons and is currently batting .216 with an OBP of .293, SLG .405, OPS .698, OPS+ 91. He has had only 2 hits since August 18th. I could be wrong but since Aug 18, he is batting .105 .
  12. Ward does not seem to be ready. I am not sure he is in the 2019 picture, at this point.
  13. You are delusional if you think managers are orchestrating these behaviors. The manager has nothing to lose whereas the players have everything to lose.
  14. You really think Deck has that much control? If he does, he certainly does not show it.
  15. I don't think Scioscia has ever done such a thing as a manager. McGuire simply sucks.
  16. Fletcher moves down in the lineup and Upton bats third. That would be my guess.
  17. Someone needs to find and bump the thread for when Albert was signed. Why? Because Whistlepig thinks it is a gooooooooooood idea.
  18. ...and one more thing.... WTF? WTF? WTF? WTF? WTF?
