I think we are all getting a little too jaded about just writing off contracts, or portions of contracts. No organization can withstand that for long, excepting maybe the Yankees or possibly Dodgers. That kind of policy is generally suicide.

No kidding, I don't know what he does to be able to play. And I don't have a clue how he can get better without completely resting. He has to have a super high pain tolerance.

I go to most home games, and I hear this same crap about Albert every night. I'm not an expert on plantar fasciitis, but I have actually had it. It's one of the most annoying sports injuries I've ever had, quite frankly you don't feel like doing anything on your foot. The doctors give you all kinds of devices, medication and exercises to make it abate. Just when you think it's never going away it disappears over a relatively short period of time.

Sorry but Scioscia can't hire any coaches without DiPoto's permission and approval. Thinking about it, maybe DiPoto wants to go double down and replace Butcher with Blanton. They can replace Picciolo with a mechanical butt slapper at the end of the dugout as each player passes by after making an out, that would be more cost effective and the results would be identical. You know, Eppard can always be replaced by Salmon, you know.

I just love it when fans get embarrassed because of something over which they have no control or responsibility happens. What happens when they actually mess up something for which they have responsibility? Most likely they make up excuses, and hide somewhere until it blows over.
