Just another crazy PAC12 game being played between Washington and Oregon.  Two great QB’s, some interesting coaching decisions, and great play calling.

A back and forth game and fun to watch.

Yes, that was a great game. A typical top CFB type of match with both teams going all out for the win on 4th downs and with 2 point conversion attempts. And it wasn't that the defenses were bad, Oregon's in particular rushed the Washington QB time and again to get the ball back quickly, it was that they were facing high quality QB's with some excellent receivers and a tiny little running back with the lowest centre of gravity I've ever seen. Great fun to watch, and I thought whichever team lost could feel a little unlucky. CFB at its best.

The Bruins after that were a bit of a let-down.

I take no pleasure is presenting this information that paints a very dismal picture of the person Arte hired as GM. Who, sadly, as this information bears out, has been a glaring misstep & one that any competent owner would not allow to be part of the way forward...

And in the same article, by the same metric, Minasian's regime is tied 22nd along with Friedman and Gomes of the much lauded Dodgers. Interesting, don't you think?

In any corporate position  if you don't have "air cover" from someone higher up the food chain, you will be let go or demoted sooner or later.

Nonsense. Corporations recognise talent, they spend fortunes acquiring it and even more to keep it in house. If you are good at your job and you perform well, you don't get fired or humiliated with a demotion.

'Air cover' is only required if you're not very good at your job.

  4. With so much doubt around Ohtani's pitching future, I will be amazed if anyone offers him anywhere near a half billion dollars. He has a dodgy UCL and is facing a very great possibility of a second TJ procedure, at just age 29. It would be a reckless gamble to offer any pitcher with that profile a long term deal, let alone a record breaking one.

I can see him signing a 2 year, 'prove you're still a pitcher', deal with the Angels.
