I don't think people really give a squat about your posts to be honest.

Why? Because I am one of the only Angels fans on here who knows that a 60 game season wasn't nearly enough to throw this team away, even though they were playing the best baseball of September in nearly a decade and on pace to easily grab a WC spot in a full season...  I guess Yelich is garbage too.  You are talking down on a baseball guru and pushing me aside, it's a shame you already tipped your hand.  Hopefully I changed your mind, but it doesn't matter, you've been 'told' to hate me via consensus

Weren't you the guy yesterday that said we were stewing Ohtani and that he is going to the Dodgers and win a world series?

In all seriousness I think we have a ery good foundation.  I would look to  sign a frontline starter, a reliever, and look tpontrade Barria and a couple of our better prospects  a good pitcher.

We dont need money to buy out Pujols.   His money is spent regardless.  We need money for his replacement.   Walsh is minimum wage.

It was a sarcastic retort for me not getting my way with you all.  I'm a little bitch.

If the six man rotation is to pander to Ohtani only pitching once a week then it needs to be scrapped. By this time he has to either adapt to pitching in a major league rotation to create consistency for the rest of staff or consider playing the field.

His once every Sunday schedule did nothing to prevent injury, it did put the Angels in the uncomfortable position of the Salt Lake shuffle to accommodate him. It's time for him to put on an MLB uniform and shed his Japanese ways. Be a true member of the team and not just his team. This us not an unreasonable demand.

So the two way dream is dead to you?  The most exciting project in baseball (IMO) should be scrapped???? Why?

C'mon... live a little, not many teams will get an opportunity to do this, ever.  WS rings come and go but players like Ohtani never come.

Angel, I survived the Lee era.  I tried to comprehend the labyrinthian mental morass that was Lee. I put Lee on ignore. You sir, are no Lee.

You probably would have enjoyed many mutually satisfying, deep conversations with him though, among other things.

I remember Lee from the old old Angels.com forum QueenCJ and the Rangers troll CLAW from the post game Mlb.com discussion threads (that no longer exist).  Yes I am aware of it all, even browniesfromgrandma.

You do know no one takes anything you say seriously, right?

I don't care, I am expressing an opinion that is unique, but I'm not a troll.  I've had very productive and fun conversations on this site, I'm sorry some of you only look at the bad in me.  I won't be going anywhere anytime soon so you better get used to me, in this account or another, or get on with it and put me on ignore.

you guys should feel free to ban this dude. he's obviously just trolling the site. he's not even expressing any consistent opinions. it's just whatever to get a rise out of you all.

I agree, ukyah is in it for a rise.  Aways out to get me

And the laugh is this is a Stroman thread and the gnat has everyone swatting at Ohtani narratives that don't even belong in this thread.

It's a pitching thread Hank, go cry about something non baseball related.  But don't cry over baseball, jesus you're making me laugh.

  8. If you don't give Ohtani a starting spot he will start looking elsewhere, seriously I feel like some of you genuinely hate the guy or want him on your Dodgers.

Well, I told you so remember that.  Perhaps it's best for Ohtani to move on, imagine what we could get for him?  A bunch of way less exciting players, that's for sure.

  9. So if we sign a starter Ohtani won't get a shot?  Who gets canned? Canning?

I'm confused, since Ohtani should fill Teheran's spot, who else deserves the axe?  Nobody.. but apparently it's Ohtani.  I guess he'll be a star on the Dodgers, they'll make him Babe fucking Ruth.

That this team does not have a plan already in place after firing the GM tells me everything.  Carpino has been president of the Angels since 2009.  Maybe he's the problem, and it's what happens when you hire a buddy for the job.

Like I said, the players don't need to change the front office needs to change.  And if they do that, new uniforms to signify a new direction. Get used to it, I'm going to keep saying it until it happens.

  11. We don't even need a GM this off-season, that's how much better I feel we are than the previous seasons.  In fact, the more we try to 'fix' the worse the team and team chemistry will be.  So tread carefully on what we really need, it aint the lineup, it really isn't the rotation either, defense + bullpen just needs to pan out better.  Teams would kill for our lineup and rotation imo, especially if Ohtani pans out on the mound.  There's only one way to find out!

That's why I find Arte made a terrible move firing Eppler, he now HAS to sign a GM who will then make impact moves just to make noise.... this is going to be a disaster.  Shooting ourselves in the foot just to look alive.

  12. Losing Teheran makes us a lot better.  How many good pitchers from this year are we going to rid of for more outsiders who will fail us? Like Teheran?

Let's not make too much noise, the team is actually already very competitive.  You saw it, I saw it, a bad start magnified issues that aren't that big anymore.  They killed it last month, and it wasn't a fluke.  The more we change this team, the worse it's going to get, there's chemistry I haven't seen since long ago.
