  1. Yeah, temps have been their normal highs but there has been a flirty storm twice the past two and a half weeks and it's been really humid so the heat index is a lot higher than norms. Just not accustomed to sweltering heat opposed to the norm dry heat. Today seems to be the normal hot heat. My phone says 101, but it's not bad like the past two weeks where humidity levels were high with the same temp.
  2. Part of the appeal to "California" from that demographic is because it is different and not the norm. Whether it be different colored ball caps, flat bills, or even altered names the fact it's different is what appeals to teens, not a literal sense.
  3. I'm not up to date with the injury lists and any changes like QB or RB. But on limited knowledge: NE under 51 CLV pickem MIN over 46.5 tempted to take the 5.5 too IND -10 ATL over 54 TB -3 TEN +7.5 I probably take the money line here as well since I think TEN wins outright. HOU -4
  4. Artes plan all along. He promoted "Angels" and because of the dual name and length it got people to simply call them "the Angels" instead. Reminds me of auto manufacturers that use numbers and letters as model names so people respond or say, "I drive a BMW, Mercedes, Acura, etc."
  5. close second for me. many years ago someone left a vm wanting to get paid (long story short is loan officers worked under our license but were 1099 individuals, but loans closed in our name so everyone thought we were the responsible party) and he did the rising anger thing where it started off miffed then went into rage. This guy sounded old and had a southern/Midwest accent. He ended the call with: "Pay the appraisers!! You turkey nutted sons of a bitch!!!"
  6. No. Mathis sucked, Chatwood wasn't very good (ironically pitching in a hitters park), Walden was erratic and booted as the closer, everyone was done with up and down Santana, I don't think anyone cared Skaggs and Corbin were type ins and everyone wanted to argue Saunders but conceeded Haren was better, and Segura would still be blocked. It's just shitty some of these guys are having good years collectively to put a black eye on the club and trades that so far look like duds.
  7. Eh, like the author mentioned, these are hindsight and some looked good at the time....I wasn't around for the Wells trade but assume everyone hated it as much as me. What's tough is those look bad and then you consider the opposite where we hung on to prospects and instead of possible great trades we had McPhearson and Wood or others that didn't pan out.
  8. Kids aren't going to be shielded from this anyway. The next day I'm sure the kids at school were pulling out their iPhones and youtubing the performance. It's up to parents to teach their kids and lead them down a good path so when they do see this they don't even really care or wish to emulate it. With technology everything is prevalent....both wrong stuff we don't want our kids to do, but equally positive material. I actually find it more concerning when parents try to hide everything and are overbearing and protective. We all heard and said the same stuff as kids that coming generations do, just show them better habits and lifestyles without being the overprotective type that has their kid sneak out in the middle of the night and steal the car to pick up her boyfriend at 15 years old like the girlfriends neighbor the other night. (Granted this family of Mormons are bothersome and we consistently hear them fighting or how the mom talks to the kids. It's rough as an observer)
  9. That's the standard video always brought up when people talk about slow rolling.
  10. Broncos Patriots Titans Saints Bucs Chiefs Seahawks Bears Browns Lions Colts Packers Rams Cowboys Redskins Texans
  11. Yeah, Golden Chaos is a heavy hitter. Saw they had Bootleggers Pumpkin on tap at Racks in Corona. Had Denoginizer.
  12. Yeah, it's interesting but I don't think happens under Hanks watch. The interesting things from last night were Jesse saying he'd get Walt where he really lives and the last scene where Hank picks him up and Jesse says he has a better idea and plan to get Walt. Which is really interesting because Jesse has always had great ideas throughout the show.
  13. Interesting. When Hank was talking to him in the house Jesse mentions being the only one as good as him or that he can do what Walt does.....something like that, I forget. I assume that's where the theory derived.
  14. It could also explain why the Gomez part mentioned was left out. Although, reading ideas and reviews I agree it was menial in the grand scope of things and works as implied.
  15. Possible with a longer finale. To my knowledge, the writers wanted more episodes which is why we have a split season as a compromise because for whatever reason, the max this show has pulled is somewhere around 5m viewers while shows like Walking Dead bring in 10m on average, so the network didn't want to pay more. Kind of a bind on the writers, but should work. With Mad Men the past season had two two hour episodes.
  16. Although, didn't Walt sneak in through the back before? I thought in one of the earlier seasons he snuck in and out of the back and also hid something in the back. I might be thinking of the dude that tried to bug the place. Good catch though. I just assumed she looked out the hotel window. She already knew he wad lying about the gasoline.
  17. Holder and Obama have said a while back they have bigger fish to fry. This is the first time that the Feds have literally said they would let the states operate without interference and set guidelines.
  18. Good point and thought process. I'm still catching up on various recaps and ideas, but no one really touches "where you really live" which I thought was a great cliffhanger and conversation point. This episode was a huge catalyst for events next week. I love the writing and although I rag on the peculiarities and timing, liked how they showed Hank drive off with Jesse only to have Walt turn the corner and pull up.
  19. Crazy because ESPN just did an article on him about a week ago and his deteriorating health.
  20. White Choc was pretty damn incredible. It literally smelled and tasted like it, but was smooth...especially for that alcohol content. The pumpkin just didn't taste like pumpkin and that was a disappointment. I actually can't even describe it. I'll try it again one if these days. They had Knuckle Sandwich on tap but it went quickly and I wanted to try new beers. I think she said they would be out until November-ish.
  21. I drink when the f*ck I want. Here is my list for the day: Breury: White Chocolate....amazing 14.75% ale Or Xata Humulus lager Salty Weiss Sour in the Rye Bootleggers: Anniversary Belgian Stout Pumpkin (this tastes like a giraffes dick) Golden Chaos w/ peaches and apricots (fan-f*cking-tastic) I'm amazed I drank full of these. On too a whiskey bar.
  22. Because it's cloudy from the storm, I thought I'd be alright but had the AC on at 7:30am. Can't wait for this shit to pass.
