They lost 8 in a row after winning the first. Win #2 was on a Friday night, and they won in the bottom of the 12th, not the 10th.
I knew it was win number 2 but I was at that game. I remember Ken Hamlin hitting HR to tie game and winning run was on a wild pitch. Pedro Ramos I think started game for Twins. I can still see ball going over brick wall in LF on Hamlin HR. I think he hit only 5 in his career.

April 11, 1961.
I remember that game was wondering if any other time. Coming home from school first Angel game and they were in first place. Went on to lose like next 9 games. I was at win number 2 in Wrigley Field on a Saturday night. Halos won with 2 runs B10.

Does anyone know when Angels opened the season on the road in Baltimore?

Arte is an idiot for pushing the wrong FA upon our many GMs.
Arte is an idiot for advocating trading prospects and not trading Ohtani last year.
Arte is an idiot for declaring we're not rebuilding and then doing virtually nothing.Arte is an idiot for making the baseball decisions instead of the GM.
There is absolutely no clear plan what-so-ever.
Being a perennially so-so team is the worst reality for a team. We're not sucking enough to rebuild, and we're not even sniffing the playoffs.Losing 8 straight years for me is time to let young players develop. Use this year to see where young pitchers and position players are at. No need to throw money around like your 1 player away.

This looks like OD lineup.

Lol. Dead thread. Just like the game so far.
Dead period in ST games, will pickup in FWY series.

I have a good source that the cat will be out of bag on St. Patricks' day.

I do not like Washington saying Soriano may go back to BP if Stephenson not ready for start of season. Let's see if he can be a starter not bouncing him back and forth. Angels have plenty of arms to choose from.

How was your Grand Slam?
I did not get the grand slam. I had the 55+ omelet without cheese.

The Angels were trying to buy an ace from the markdown basket.
The Angels were never in the store. Fans and MLB writers wanted them in the store. Fans will still go to the games. It's an outing going with family and friends. Having a few hot dogs peanuts and a drink. People will come Ray it's baseball.

It could be the Angels were working on a deal with Snell, Boras and co weren’t sold on the offer and wanted to wait a few more days and now the Astros are jumping in. Making it a little more complicated.
these types of things move fast, especially with injuries. I don’t think stradling ever said Snell was 100% going to be an Angel. He mentioned it could get done and they were working on a deal. The angels have missed out on Carl Crawford, Mark Texiera, and Adrian Beltre off the top of my head when we all thought we had deals done with those guys.
Nothing is official until they sign their name on the contract
That's what Carlos Correa has been saying.

Nothing funny about having a rainout when chasing cactus league title.

Once Snell, Montgomery, Clevenger and Lorenzen sign with other teams how soon should the Corbin Burnes thread start.

I think the core is good as well, however Snell and Martinez would make them better
I agree with adding Snell but has to be a contract good for halos. No opt out until after year 3. With so many teams needing pitching strange he has not signed.

I still believe Angels will surprise many this season. Team with a bunch of no names. I do not want to hear about Mike Trout until he can stay on the field. Just maybe Arte is right by not spending. Young team with hungry players. LET'S GO ANGELS. Maybe he will serve cheese to all the fans who wine.

With Stephenson starting year on IL, I'm sure Arte will hand out 150 for Snell.

This is another reason why Angels should not spend money this year. Wait and see how they do.
