At least we can safely say that our new GM is someone who has never been fired, quit or left in some odd way as a GM previously. 😉  

He never has had evidence. It's all about the grift. The fact that he hasn't said shit other than Tweets in the last 6 days says everything.

Listen old-timer, I'm not 100 years old....so it's California Angels for me lol.  But yes, dumb me for saying "OG" when in fact the original name was indeed LA Angels.  

Except if I am going to hope for one thing to change, it would be that Angel pitchers stop having their arms fall off.

To me, it’s not the meddling as much as the lack of a 21st century baseball knowledge oriented FO.

Overall he spends money -- which is #1 you want for a team owner.  But he also gets too involved.  He also spends this money in the wrong spots -- at the top rather than the broader foundation.  that's his biggest problem (even more than any involvement issues that might exist).

Yes.  My point is the Owner made bad hires.  DiPoto left because it was a bad environment for him and he didn't want to stick around.  Whether you think he'd be fired at the end of the year or not.  The point remains -- he didn't like the setup/job/workplace that the owner had in place and bolted.  It wasn't a right fit.  That's on the owner.  
Reagins -- come on.  If you truly think he quit and Angels wanted him to stay LT as the GM....then i'm wasting my time right now.

The fact we're on like 5 or so GMs the past 15 years (with all being fired basically) says it all for an Owner.  Hiring a GM is the most important thing an owner does.....maybe also providing a budget/$$$ for the team, FO, etc.

And can we try to remember that the Dipoto issue involved dealing with a field manager that had massive power in the organization that proved to be frictional with a younger GM trying to what they want to do?
The buck stops with Arte on that, of course.  But realistically an entrenched "icon" field manager with conflicting theories to the GM was probably not going to go well regardless of who the owner was.
It resolved itself as it probably should have.

At the end of the day there’s one common denominator in all of this and that’s Arte.
We’ve been over this a billion times on this board and at this point it’s beyond fair to question his ability to own a sports team. 
 
There are plenty of examples of meddling owners and they’re not good. As time has passed and the more removed this organization has been from previous ownership and pieces involved the worse off the Angels have been. 
 
We’re closer to Al Davis territory than we are the other side of the coin.

I was just pointing out that technically he wasn't fired...   It was imo pretty clearly a firing.   The Stoneman reference should have made it clear I was just having fun with the "techincally" talk.

Tons of turnover in the GM department, regardless of reason, is not a positive.

"Technically" Reagins wasn't fired, he was reassigned.   This is all Stoneman's fault for retiring!
