Where’s the contradiction? The way I see it, Snell wants the Angels, Perry wants Snell, and Arte doesn’t.

What this doesn’t tell me is whether Arte is actually interested in signing Snell and if he views him as someone who will substantially change the team.

It was incredibly boring. And kind of pathetic to watch 14 K's and not a single hard hit ball. 
I think it'd be more fun to have a mini-futures game. Each team send 3-4 guys and you do an AL - NL showdown at Salt River. I would definitely watch Dana, Rada, and Joyce in a game like that.

not sure it it was different for other teams, with deeper farm systems and talent not concentrated close to the majors.

But even with Dana and Rada, that's kinda my point: we've seen them plenty in regular games.

I don’t think he would lie, but he may be misinformed or gotten misled.
Even if Rosenthal’s report is false and this is just a negotiation, it’s bad for the Angels/Arte that they’ve dragged this out so long that the Astros are in the mix.

It could. Again, depends on how you spin it. I’d like to believe it means some substantive discussions with Arte doing more than saying no. If I’m guessing, I think Rosenthal probably got it right. Olney wasn’t necessarily inaccurate but maybe painted too optimistic a picture. Olney did say he thought Snell, in the end, would sign with the Angels.
