  1. By the way, thank you for always posting the game roster, @Chuck Much appreciated!
  2. From Monday: Right-hander Robert Stephenson (shoulder) said he is feeling “pretty good” and “moving in the right direction.” Stephenson said he’s expecting to throw another bullpen session later this week. He isn’t sure how soon he’ll be able to pitch in an exhibition game, but it’s “definitely possible” that he’ll get enough innings in the spring to be ready for opening day. “I’m not exactly sure of the timetable at the moment, but that’s the plan, to be ready for opening day,” Stephenson said. … https://www.ocregister.com/2024/03/11/its-baseball-101-for-angels-pitchers-throw-strikes/
  3. Since they gave O’Neal a shot at PxP, I wonder why Kent French never got a shot. Might be worth trying just to see.
  4. If they don’t add someone better by Opening Day, I agree. But I’d prefer they add JD.
  5. I know, I know. It’s Heyman, so take it for what it’s worth. https://nypost.com/2024/03/11/sports/gerrit-cole-injury-scare-should-spur-yankees-into-action/
  6. I give it an 80% chance we see a “Willie Calhoun has been reassigned to minor league camp” in the next 24 hours.
  7. Basically, the Angels should just: - Sign Snell - Sign JD Martinez - Sign JD Davis - Trade Sandoval for a young second basemen - Trade Jo Adell All before Opening Day in two weeks. Sound good? /s
  8. I do know of one Angels exec who would like to sign Bauer. But a Bauer deal would obviously need ownership approval.
  9. It’s kind of weird that Cole Fontenelle has continued to stick around, despite other guys like Paris, Leblanc, and Dozier getting reassigned. He didn’t play above A-ball in his pro debut last year and he’s not a top prospect. Unless they just forgot to tweet it out or accidentally omitted his name.
  10. Broadcast quality went down to like 180p. Gotta pay for Snell somehow
  11. Would be an insane buttercup if it’s not the Angels after all the smoke the last 48 hours. If the deal has an opt-out, I say it’s SF.
  12. I respect Votto a ton, but glad he signed elsewhere. If he wasn’t going back to the Reds, Toronto was perfect. Now, the Angels still gotta add JDM or Belt.
  13. My takeaway from Buster’s comments is Snell wouldn’t mind signing here and that “the Angels have been in negotiations with him.”
  14. Can’t handle it any worse than Nevin did.
  15. Right? I don’t know why they can’t allocate some money from the payroll and use it on coaches/front office/tech/infrastructure. Well, I do know why but I don’t understand his thought process.
  16. He had a slider he used less than 5% last year… maybe he ups that usage? The sinker has a bit of a different shape than the fastball, which helps.
  17. I'd do that instantly if I were the Angels. Unfortunately, I am not.
  18. Back to Toronto on a short-term deal similar to Bellinger? Unlike other teams, they wouldn’t have to give up a pick to sign him.
  19. And then with Stephenson potentially missing the start of the season, the bullpen starts to thin out. Then Luis García is the 7th inning guy? Idk about that.
