    The team hasn't had a winning record in a decade and so far this off-season, they've done nothing but sign a bunch of relievers.  If that is a "plan," it sure seems like a shitty one.  I've seen zero reason to trust that if he has a plan, it's a sensible one that will result in a positive outcome for the team.

    The plan is to take the money people spend for tickets, parking, souvenirs, and food and pocket the money as he is not going to spend money for players who will help the team instead of peanuts at the 99 cent store. I will not spend any more money on this team anymore until he sells the team to someone who cares about the team and fans. I say if Oakland gets some good players to help them we will be a last place team and everyone can laugh at Moreno as he lost Ohtani and then possibly a last place team.

    - The Angels continue to show interest in free agent Kiké Hernández, but fear he prefers a return to the Dodgers, according to a source briefed on the team’s discussions.

    Hernández also is drawing interest from other clubs, and the Dodgers seem more focused on adding a high-leverage reliever, perhaps Ryan Brasier as a free agent or the Red Sox’s Kenley Jansen in a trade.

    – And finally, in addition to the Blue Jays and Red Sox, here are three teams that still have much to do:

    Giants (starting pitcher, right-handed power hitter);

    Padres (outfielders, pitchers);

    Angels (anything and everything).

    I wouldn’t want that ass anyway. It is just another player that doesn’t want to help a team win but go to a team already loaded to win. He can go to the Doggies and hope they get there ass beat.

    I wouldn’t agree with this. He can pitch at that level, but not consistently.  Therein lies the problem with giving him a 7 yr contract.

    I would love Snell on a 3-yr deal or Bellinger on a 4-yr deal, but 7 and 12 (?) is a poor choice for those players.

    Ask SD how they feel about that Xander Boegarts contract after one year….

    So why not try a 3 or 4 year with a club option for an extra year and if they don’t do well, you can use the club option and let them go and if they do well keep them on the team
